Chapter 758 Mr. Holland
Rose said, “Jimmy used to work in our company, but later my father kicked him out. Grandma, could you please talk to my father and ask him to let me Jim go back to the company? What do you think?”
On the way back, Rose had asked Jimmy about his work. Jimmy told her about Dick’s attitude. After thinking for a while, Rose thought it was better to help Jimmy go back to her family’s company.
“I haven’t seen your father for a long time,” Ella asked. “How is he?”
“He’s fine,” said Rose. “If you say something, he will definitely listen to you.”
Seeing the worried look on Rose’s face, Ella smiled and rubbed her head. “You really look exactly like your mother. Haven’t you told your father about it?”
“Yes, I talked to him, but he rejected me,” Rose sighed in depression.
Thinking that her father was nice to Charlie and believed whatever Charlie said, Rose felt resigned.
If Jimmy hadn’t left the company, they wouldn’t have quarreled and misunderstood each other.
Now that Theresa was going to be with Charlie, Rose wondered why she couldn’t live an easy life with Jimmy.
Seeing her depression, Ella said, “All right. I’ll talk to your father.”
Ella seldom talked to Pat. Since her daughter passed away, Ella had not been so close to her son-in- law
as before.
Besides, Ella was not in good health and didn’t contact Pat much.
Now she would like to help her granddaughter.
At noon, Robert and Leticia went to the hospital to visit Old Mr. Calsis.
The three brothers were having dinner at home.
Charlie took out his phone and texted Ben on the sofa.
Pat and Chandler were discussing something. ConTEent bel0ngs to Nôv(e)lD/rama(.)Org .
Pat asked, “When will Mr. Holland come?”
“The day after tomorrow. Charlie, remember to come.”
After saying that, Chandler looked at his brother and found that Charlie was not interested in their topic at all.
Chandler could not help but feel a little angry. “What are you looking at?”
Charlie said, “Chandler, I’m talking to Ben.”
“Ben?” Chandler asked. “Your son?”
Their parents had been talking about this boy every day recently.
However, Chandler had never seen Charlie and his two kids, so Chandler was curious about them.
Charlie nodded.
Pat looked at Charlie and said, “What? You haven’t brought the kids back yet? Charlie, you are too nice. If
I were you, I would have picked up the two kids earlier. I really don’t know why you are so nice to Theresa. We’re not afraid of her.”
Hearing this, Charlie took a look at Pat and said warily, “Stay out of my business.”
Things were not going well between Charlie and Theresa not. Pat had a short temper, and Charlie was afraid that Pat would make things worse.
Chandler said, “Did you hear me? Mr. Holland is coming. We’ll treat him to dinner. Remember to come!”
Chandler couldn’t help but remind Charlie again because he knew that Charlie always went out recently. After all, Charlie had left halfway when Chandler and he went to visit someone last time.
Charlie asked, “Do I have to go?”
The Mr. Holland mentioned by Chandler was Chandler’s leader, who was on good terms with Chandler’s family.
They had kept in touch with each other over the years, but because Chandler didn’t come back all year round, Mr. Holland hadn’t come to pay a visit for several years.
It was because of Chandler that Mr. Holland came to visit them this time.
Charlie knew that Mr. Holland was a man of high status and needed to be entertained warmly. However, Mr. Holland was Dick’s biological father.
This made Charlie feel a little uncomfortable.
How embarrassing it was for him to talk to Mr. Holland in a respectful manner even when he was at odds with Mr. Holland’s son?
Chandler said, “The grudges between you and Dick are just small issues. Don’t let it affect your attitude toward Mr. Holland.”
Charlie nodded. With no intention of arguing with Chandler, he nodded and said, “All right.”
After talking about Mr. Holland, Pat looked at Charlie and said, “By the way, Charlie, Rose’s grandmother called me today.”
