Save Sweetlove Novel by Wallis Watt

Chapter 1

It had been three hours since Elaine Gray was kidnapped.

Fear had gripped her heart, and each minute bore the weight of unbearable anxiety.

In the midst of her daze, she heard the familiar and reassuring sound of steady footsteps.

It was Anson Cameron.

Her husband finally arrived!

A glimmer of hope emerged in Elaine’s dry eyes.

However, it only lasted for a fleeting moment before her eyes dimmed again upon seeing Lamia White, who was tied up beside her.

Elaine knew very well that Lamia was the woman Anson truly loved.

Since Lamia’s return from abroad, Anson’s nights of absence had grown more frequent.

Now, Elaine was sure that his hurried arrival was not for her, his legitimate wife, but for Lamia.

“Well, Mr. Cameron, you came faster than I expected,” one of the kidnappers remarked as he toyed with the blade.

The sharp blade refracted the sunlight, drawing dazzling arcs in the air.

Anson’s stern gaze betrayed his murderous intent. “Release them!” He commanded.

“Oh, I’d love to, Mr. Cameron. But I think you should at least appreciate our efforts.”

Anson narrowed his eyes and said, “Sure. As long as they are safe, I’m willing to meet all your conditions.”

The kidnapper’s gaze lingered on Elaine and Lamia, then took on a sly gleam as it settled on Anson’s face.

“Mr. Cameron, these two women both seem to be very important to you, but I can only let one of them go, and the other one must be kept as a hostage Elaine’s face turned pale.

Ever since she married Anson, she had heard the maids at home whispering more than once about how she, as a mute woman, was unworthy of him.

Therefore, since Lamia and she were kidnapped at the same time, Anson would definitely choose Lamia over her. With tears streaming down her face, Lamia sobbed, “Anson, dont mind me. Save Elaine!”

In Anson’s view, Lamia was incredibly weak at this moment, but her unwavering concern was for Elaine’s safety.

Anson’s expression remained cold as he merely glanced at Lami In a chilling tone; he commanded the kidnappers, “Let Lamia go.

His resolute decision seemed to have triggered a bomb in Elaine’s head, shattering her mind into pieces.

She had known Anson would make such a choice from the start, but she still felt heartbroken when Anson actually did so.

The kidnapper raised an eyebrow, his smile growing more sinister. “It appears that you’re not particularly satisfied with your mute wife, Mr. Cameron.”

Anson frowned tightly. His eyes darkened, and the murderous intent within grew stronger. “I said let her go!”

“How about ten million dollars for both?” The kidnapper proposed and then signaled to his henchman.

The henchman grabbed Lamia’s wrist and rudely dragged her over to Anson.

Anson immediately hugged Lamia into his arms. As he looked at her bleeding legs, the murderous intent within his eyes almost reached the point of exploding.

“Anson, you should have chosen to save Elaine! I’m already a cripple. Life or death won’t make a difference to me!”Content from NôvelDr(a)ma.Org.

“Leave it to me.” Anson handed Lamia over to his assistant, Milo Jones. ‘Get her to safety. Now”

Milo nodded and strode away with Lamia in his arms.

“Mr. Cameron, we’ve kept our word and let her go.” The kidnapper grabbed Elaine’s arm and retreated to the edge of the cliff. “Now, give us the 10 million dollars we asked for, and you may leave with your wife.”

Anson replied sternly, “I can’t gather so much cash for now. I only have two million dollars.”

The kidnapper narrowed his eyes and pressed the knife against Elaine’s slender and delicate neck.

He didn’t show any mercy, and a deep wound appeared on Elaine’s neck instantly.

“Two million dollars? Mr. Cameron, are you toying with us?”

“Believe it or not, this is all I can get.”

“Come on. You are a fat cat!” The kidnapper growled.

“You want it right now, but the bank doesn’t have so much cash. I will give you another six million dollars in fifteen minutes. How does that sound? You can think about it.”

The kidnapper frowned and said, “Mr. Cameron, it seems that you don’t care about your dumb wife at all. Since that’s the case, don’t blame us for being cruel.”

Anson narrowed his eyes and said, “We’re married by law, after all. If anything happened to her, people would believe I’m heartless.”

“So? Will you give up on her or not, Mr. Cameron?”

While speaking, Anson slowly approached the kidnapper.

The kidnapper brandished his knife with menace, his eyes filled with brutality. “Keep away from me! I’ll kill her if you dare to come any closer!”

Anson remained expressionless. Instead of showing any signs of hesitation, he continued to walk forward.

“Mr. Cameron, do you really think I won’t dare to hurt her?”

The next second, he cut Elaine’s arm, and the blood instantly stidined her clothes red.

A pang of pain made Elaine struggle fiercely.

The gravel under her feet kept rolling down the cliff, leaving her trembling on the verge of life and death.

As Anson stepped closer, her eyes grew dimmer as if the last flame of hope inside her heart had extinguished.

The man she had loved for over a decade chose another woman when she was in danger.

And now, even though the kidnapper had already hurt her, Anson kept approaching heartlessly, completely disregarding her safety.

Elaine closed her eyes tightly. Then, she mouthed toward Anson with a faint smile,

“Farewell, Anson Cameron.
