Chapter 71
Kelly
“Solnyshko, wake up.” Thorin’s voice called out to me. I jolted awake, sitting up straight in bed, heaving for air. “You were thrashing in sleep.” Thorin said, sitting up next to me.
“Oh…sorry.” I said, running my fingers through my hair before resting my head in my hands. Thorin rubbed my back for a minute before I felt easy enough to lay back down.
“You have the bad dream?” he asked.
“I haven’t been sleeping very well since we got back. I have a lot of nightmares, only they are really real.” I scoffed. “Kinda why I’ve been avoiding sleep in general.” I shrugged.
“What was this one about?” He asked, lying back down with me. He wrapped his arms around me, holding me close, giving me the comfort I needed.
“I saw my father’s face again. Right before he took his last breath.”
“He will be greatly missed.” Thorin said, gently running his fingers through my hair.
“I wish I had never gone on that stupid mission.” I shook my head. “It nearly cost us our lives, and for what? We have nothing to show for it.” I huffed. “Had I been here-“
“Had you been here, you might have had bad fate too. Or perhaps Keres would have saved the day, only to put everyone in fear, and your secret would have been known before you came to rule.” He sighed. “Plus, it was not for nothing, not for me anyway.” He said, dragging his knuckles across my chin. A long stretch of silence fell over us before Thorin broke the ice again. “Have you come to a decision?”
I didn’t need him to elaborate to know what he was asking. I knew that he, and the other guys, wanted to know who I wanted to pursue romantically.
“I have.” I nodded. “But I’m afraid to move forward.”
“Why?” He frowned.
“Because I don’t feel like I can handle a relationship right now on top of everything else. I feel like I am drowning in grief and paperwork and so many expectations. I don’t see how I could possibly give our relationship the attention it needs to grow. And then what if your mate comes along?” I said, my eyes welling up with tears.
“Our relationship?” Thorin asked, his expression unreadable.
I blushed, realizing my slip of the tongue. “Yes…our relationship.”
“You wish to pursue me? And only me?”
“Yes.” I chuckled as the smirk began to cross his face.
“Solnyshko, I will wait as long as it takes until you are ready. That is what love does.” He said, kissing my forehead. I could feel the smile forming on his face, that matched with his ever perfect response, had me welling up with all sorts of emotions.Original from NôvelDrama.Org.
“You love me?” I asked.
“I wouldn’t have taken risky trip around the world, putting life in danger and competing with two other men if I didn’t.” He chucked. “I love you, Solnyshko.”
“I love you too, Thorin,” I whispered.
I don’t know who made the first move, if it was him or I, but soon our lips were touching. It still was not the same spark that the mate bond gave, but damn was it close. I pulled him closer to me, as if it were even possible, deepening our k**s. He recopricated by slipping his hand underneath the hem of my shirt, sending a shiver up my spine. I arched my back, silently begging for more. Thoirn repositioned himself on top of me, his c**k poking at my stomach, the only thing separating us was a few measly pieces of fabric.
“Let me love you tonight.” He asked, his teeth skimming across my neck.
“Yes!” I panted.
Apparently, that was all he needed to hear. Soon our clothes were getting lost in the sheets, our limbs tangling together in a beautiful mess. Thorin dipped down between my legs, locking himself onto my soaking wet center. He made me cry out to the moon goddess herself with whatever he was doing with his tongue. I thought I was going to die of ecstasy when he plunged two fingers inside me, curling them so he would hit that perfect spot. I think he liked seeing me come undone, evident from the cocky smirk on his face afterwards.
“Always so beautiful.” He said as his mouth latched onto my neck. He sucked hard, while at the same time thrusting his c**k inside of me in one go. I let out some sort of m**n or cry, I wasn’t entirely sure which. All I knew was that I was seeing stars, and I didn’t want it to stop.
I clawed at his back as he continued to move inside me with his thick c**k, the feeling so full and so perfect. “Please Thorin!” I begged for release. He thrust harder, taking my breath away every time his member hit me in my deepest places.
“Come for me, Solnyshko.” He said, just before sucking on one of my n*****s. That was all it took for the damn to burst. I came harder than I ever had before, crying out without care as to who might hear, my o****m being prolonged when Thorin came inside me just seconds later.
We laid in bed together, panting for air as we came down from our beautiful shatter. Thorin scooped me up out of bed while still inside me and moved us to the shower where we took turns worshiping each others bodies. By the time we were done, the sun was already rising. Thorin insisted that I try to get a little sleep, and this time I didn’t argue. I was beyond spent. Though I did feel a bit guilty at how fast I fell asleep after everything, but he wore me out. I didn’t have any nightmares this time, and when I finally woke up it was almost eleven and Thorin was gone, but in his place was a tray of food, which I shamelessly devoured in bed while I let last night fully sink in.
I finally told him. I felt proud of myself for the admission, but guilty too. I wasn’t ready for a relationship. And speaking of relationships, I had to break the news to Emmett and Jonas. Probably be best if I showered first, get Thorin’s scent off me when I go to tell them. Or Emmett, anyway. Jonas was still away. But that all had to wait, because first, I had a funeral to get to.

Thorin
To say I felt like I was on top of the world was an understatement. She chose me. I swear I had a skip in my step as I went about my day. I couldn’t even keep the smile off my face during morning training, which made most of the warriors think I was going insane. I never smiled during class, or so they said.
How could I not be happy? I understood that Kelly needed more time to settle in, and was fine with waiting. I have waited nearly a decade, as is. What is a little more time? At least I knew she wouldn’t be pursuing her options any more, which was a relief. She was my bright ray of sunshine, My Solnyshko. Mine. Even my wolf, Theo, was happy with the outcome. I think we both gave up looking for our mate a while ago. Many never find their mate, and I was not going to miss this opportunity with the perfectly imperfect woman right in front of me at the possibility of finding my mate one day.
The only possible problematic discussion we would need to have would be about pups. I don’t know if I could give her any. Losing Alina, it was just too much. But Kelly was the queen, she had expectations and duties to fulfill, and I wouldn’t doubt that she wanted to be a mother one day also. I bet she would look beautiful with a pup inside her. As if it were even possible for her to be more beautiful. She would have the…eh…glow.
I felt like an undeserving man, my past…was not clean. And yet, that didn’t seem to phase Kelly in the slightest.
“Thorin? A word?” Kelly asked from her office doorway, tearing me from my thoughts.
She was wearing a form-fitting little black dress. I wondered why, but then I remembered the funeral. She must have just come from there.
“Solnyshko?” I asked as she let me in and shut the door behind us.
“Unzip me?” She asked, pulling her hair up off her neck, a slight smirk pulling at her lips.
“With pleasure.” I hummed.
I was very pleasantly surprised to see that she was not wearing a bra, and even more surprised when she let the dress fall to the floor, revealing she wasn’t wearing any panties either.
“I wanted to thank you for last night.” She said before sinking to her knees in front of me.
“Thanks are always appreciated,” I said through clenched teeth as she took me in her mouth. I guess we weren’t waiting long after all.
