40. Traces of Destiny, part 3.
SELENE STRENGTHENS HER CHOSEN ONE
It’s been three hours since Margaret returned from her mission in the city of London. It was strange, she knew that Mary and Occisor would arrive before her. But there’s no one on the second floor. With no more patience to wait, she paced down to the ground floor.
“Where is everybody?” Margaret questions an officer.
“I don’t know, ma’am. I didn’t see them leave.”
Margaret returns to the second floor.
Where are you? She sits at the window watching the. sunset.
In the genuine alpha’s castle…
In the twilight between the end of the day and the beginning of the night, the smell of several wolves approaching causes the genuine alpha and all the other lycanthropes to be on alert. They’re approaching fast.
A strong, cold wind opens the heavy, solid wooden doors. Kratos already assumes that something serious was happening, gets up and walks quickly to the entrance hall that is meters in front of the room where the slaves are.
When he gets there, he sees all the remaining lycanthropes on their face on the ground. In front of them are seven alphas, all in their lupine forms.
“What is it?” he asks loudly.
From the end of the line, a black wolf stands out, bigger than everyone else, his steps firm. Who the hell is that? He has never seen that being among his own. Is he… his thought dies when the strange wolf returns to its human form.
“Who are you?” Kratos smells the air, the smell of that man is the same one on his daughter’s neck. Kratos grinds his teeth. “You’re the bastard who fucked my daughter! The traitor of his own kind!”
Kratos’ face is red. Why the hell didn’t I think of that before? The only one who doesn’t obey my orders… The answer was right on my face all this time. The anger at feeling like he was made a fool makes his blood boil.
“What are you doing here? Have you come for my cub?”
“I came here to kill you!”
“Who do you think you’re talking to?”RêAd lat𝙚St chapters at Novel(D)ra/ma.Org Only
“With the genuine ex-alpha,” he says, smiling sideways, a smug smile that makes Kratos even angrier.
The genuine looks behind the traitor, he already understood what happened. One by one, he was defeating the alphas and taking the lead, thus giving him the right to challenge him.
“You really think you can beat me? I’m the real thing!”
“And I will be the supreme.”
“Only in my death!” he growls.
“We count on it!” from the sky, a female voice speaks, calling Kratos’ attention.
He closes his hands in fists, he recognizes the second princess.
“I see, you beat them because you allied yourself with the disgusting witches.”
“I won because the goddess is with me, they’re just watching.”
“Don’t make me laugh, just like them you are a scum that needs to be exterminated from the face of the earth!” he says between his teeth.
Kratos’ insults shake nothing in Occisor, he just looks beyond the genuine alpha. Where is she, he wonders. Kratos notices his gaze.
“Oh, are you worried about my pup?” He asks with mockery. Occisor growls. “She is being tortured, her skin is being burned by silver and she has now lost consciousness, but that is not why I ended her punishment.”
Kratos smiles, the fury in the traitor’s eyes is like seeing the funniest scene in the world.
“I let all the male wolves use her body, which, I must thank you for, you left in a great…”
As soon as Occisor heard the phrase “use her body” with extreme hatred in his heart, he transforms and attacks the genuine, interrupting him. He bites hard at his shoulder, hot blood dripping on the ground. Kratos roars in pain, but soon transforms. Even injured and with teeth embedded into his skin, he manages to transform.
“Kill him, genuine!” the genuine beta Lacios shouts. He is Kratos’ closest brother.
Kratos uses his hind legs to kick the other wolf’s abdomen to push him away, blood dripping from Occisor. The most powerful claws belong to the genuine alpha. Everyone on Occisor’s side gets tense. He’s bleeding out. But his wound soon stops bleeding, as does the wound of his opponent.
They stare at each other as they walk in a circle, one watching the other. Blood mixes with saliva, making Kratos break eye contact and attack. No one’s ever taken his blood before. Leaning on his hind legs, Kratos jumps on top of Occisor who turns to hit him with his front paws. They crammed into the ground, paws and bites, blood dripping out, both of them giving it their all. Hate runs through their veins.
Kratos manages to trap Occisor below himself and now he’s using his dominance, the blood running down Occisor’s shoulders, neck, thighs, and back was leaving him weak.
At that moment, it was clear as water. No one can beat a genuine alpha. The direct heir to power. Rolf feels his chest tighten, he knew from the beginning that his son didn’t stand a chance, even though he was a hunter, he used human tools and had the cooperation of two vampires. Now, one contest, one-on-one… He would never win. And now it was clear, even defeating all the alphas, the genuine would always be the genuine.
“No,” Sasha’s voice invades Occisor’s ears. She trips over her dress and falls flat on her face.
Occisor looks in the direction of his mate, she is lying on the ground, her eyes are bathed in tears and blood drips from her forehead. It hurts in his heart, a pain greater than any he is feeling at this moment.
He returns to face Kratos, increasing his dominance in order not to lose the fight, but just as he would do that, Kratos does it first, ten times stronger. He is losing badly. Despair strikes him for the first time. He closes his eyes.
Goddess, please give me the strength to beat him, help me put an end to this tyrant, he thinks.
His plea reaches Selene, who receives it with a smile on her face. The moon begins to glow, the glow descends to Occisor and surrounds him. Kratos is more frightened not to let go. The younger growls and increases his dominance by a hundred times. Kratos tries to overtake him, but it is impossible. Occisor comes out from under his enemy and increases his domination, forcing Kratos to bow before him.
Everyone looks at them. Occisor is shining, the goddess is favoring him, and now no one has any more doubts. The goddess chose her favorite. And she chose the son of a dishonored alpha.
Kratos feels his body and mind being crushed by the overwhelming force that Occisor exerts on himself. He refuses to make a sound. Occisor bites Kratos’ neck and without difficulty plucks it from the rest of the body.
Now he’s the supreme alpha.
He looks around, everyone kneeling, except for his mate and the ex genuine lunam, she is lying on the ground with her hand on her chest screaming with the death of her mate.
The glow that surrounded the young man’s body is dispensed and now he has the strength that was born with him.
Occisor walks up to his intended and licks her bruises, he smells her body and notices that Kratos lied to him. There’s no male smell on her. He feels relieved. Sasha hugs him tightly, relieved.
Kathe’s despair is much more intense than that of the other females when they lose their partner. Her heart is breaking into several pieces, the pain is too strong. Her screams leave everyone stunned, seeing the death of a partner is something horrible.
Her heart beats too hard on her chest. It is happening now. The heart of the genuine will explode. And in less than two minutes, that happens. She couldn’t stand her mate’s death. He was a tyrant to the others, but he treated her like a queen. She loved him more than anything, and living in a world without him is impossible for her.
Sasha cries, her biological parents died together.
Occisor howls to the moon in thanks. The other lycanthropes followed his example and howled too.
The goddess smiles, her children are singing to her.
Mary and the princesses approach Occisor, he returns to his human form and again the third princess makes clothes cover him. He helps Sasha get up and hugs her. Mary, him and her. The family the goddess gave him as a gift. Only Margaret was missing.
“Now I just need to organize things,” Angèle says with a smile.
Finally, her alliance happened. She can get married now.
