The Good Girl's Revenge

Chapter 95

Chapter 95

Derek's face darkened again. He held Meredith's hand and threw her into the car.

"You apologize to me just to escape me and go out with Parker?"

"Meredith, for him, and for the bastard in your belly, you're really willing to do anything."

Derek became angrier. She could even bow for another man.

In that case, he would not let them get what they wanted.

When Meredith saw that he would not listen to her, she was helpless. No matter what she said, Derek

just ignored her.

The car stopped soon.

"Get out of the car."

Meredith didn't want to get off at first. But when she saw the man's threatening gaze, she thought he

was likely to force her to get off by using coercive measures, so she had to do what he asked.

When she got out of the car, she realized that it was a high-class apartment in the city center. Because

of the high price, people who lived here had high incomes.

"Why did you bring me here..."

Meredith had no idea what Derek was going to do.

"From today onwards, you will live here." Derek took out a key and threw it into her hand. "Don't let me

see anyone who shouldn't be here."

Meredith didn't want to take the key at all. Was Derek going to monitor her life? However, they had

nothing to do with each other.

Even couples didn't monitor each other's every move remotely.

"Derek, it's too..."

"You can choose to go back to the hospital or the Xaviers. Don't think that I'll forget what you've done,

even if we get divorced."

Derek glanced at her and there was no room for negotiation.

Meredith thought for a moment. It might be better to live here than in the hospital, so she could only

agree weakly.

"Where's my stuff?" After thinking about it, she remembered her bits and pieces again.

Derek pointed to a suitcase in the corner. Meredith looked at it and said nothing.

"Don't forget to go to the company tomorrow."

When Derek saw that Meredith didn't go against him, his attitude softened a little. But he ordered her

again.

Meredith frowned. Didn't she resign already?

Speaking of the work, she had just found a job. However, it was messed up by Derek. She disappeared

for several days after the interview. No company would want such an employee as her.

"You didn't even hand over your work and just left. What kind of place do you think Xavier Group is?"

Derek pinned her down using the excuse of the work handover.

Meredith thought for a moment. The most she usually did was doing some cleaning. At most, she

would make coffee for Derek and run errands for Damian.

"Well, when can I resign?"

Meredith didn't want to have anything to do with Derek. At worst, she would hand it over before leaving.

"Until I'm satisfied."

After Derek finished speaking, Meredith was speechless.

What he just said meant nothing. It seemed that if he wasn't happy, she wouldn't leave the Xavier

Group.

However, since Derek didn't force her to abort the child, Meredith didn't care about it anymore.

She didn't believe that Derek would keep her by his side all the time. Was he going to let her take

maternity leave and pay her?

...

The next day.

Meredith got up early. After she washed up, she drove to the Xavier Group.

The neighborhood she lived in was conveniently located, which was much better than the small one-

room house she rented herself.

Sometimes, she really couldn't see through Derek. For example, he let her live in this apartment. He

should hate her, but he indeed helped her by doing that.

However, Meredith didn't think too much. She patted her flat belly after having breakfast outside. "Mom

is going to work. You have to be good and stop messing around."

...

Meredith took the bus and got off not far from the Xavier Group. She was about to swipe her card when

a noise came from the door.

"You let me in. I know your boss."

"I said I knew him. Don't you understand what I said? When I enter the company, I'll deal with you first."

The woman was very impolite and arrogant. Meredith frowned and looked at the person who was

speaking.

Meredith's frown was even deeper. This woman looked a little familiar.

However, she was going to be late, so she didn't look at her anymore. She just thought she was wrong.

Nova was at the door. A girl quarreled with a few security guards. She wasn't afraid at all.

Compared to her plain image before, she seemed to have changed completely.

The clothes all over her body were expensive famous brands. Her hair was dyed brown and it was

curled in big waves, which made her look more mature and beautiful.

After Derek gave money to Nova last time, she felt delirious from the pennies from heaven. She

splashed the money for a while, buying all kinds of luxuries that she did not dare to buy before. And

soon there was only half left.

The speed she spent the money alerted her.

The thought that had flashed across her mind came back.

Instead of sitting idle with the one million dollars, it was better to stick to that man. She had made an

investigation and found that the man who was looking for her that day was Derek, the heir to the

Xaviers. And women in J City threw themselves into him.

If she could marry him or become his lover and have a child, then she would have inexhaustible money

in the future.

Therefore, the reason why she dressed up early and came here early by taxi was to get a job at the

Xavier Group. And then she could forge a bond with Derek slowly.

But she didn't expect these short-sighted security guards to not let her in. This belongs to NôvelDrama.Org: ©.

Nova and the security guards argued for a while. After thinking for a while, she took out her phone.

"You guys wait. When Mr. Xavier comes down, you all have to apologize to me."

After that, she dialed the number Derek gave to her.

Derek was waiting for Meredith when he saw an unfamiliar number and frowned.

Very few people knew his private number.

"Who?"

The man's cold voice came from the receiver.

"It's me..." Nova said in an aggrieved voice as if she was bullied.

Derek was even more impatient. "Who are you?"

Nova seemed to be struck by lightning. She thought Derek was impressed by her because he was so

gentle with her that day. However, he didn't even remember her voice.

"I'm Nova. It's...It's the girl in the MS Hotel."

Nova was afraid that he would hang up, so she quickly made it clear.

Only then did Derek remember who she was. The woman he had slept with that day. He did give her

his number and told her to call him as soon as she thought of what she wanted.

"What do you want?" Derek asked without further ado.

"I want to work at Xavier Group." Nova was afraid that Derek would get suspicious. "It's really hard to

find a job now. My university is less-known, and my family has no background... There's no way out. So

I think of you. Will it cause you any trouble?"
