Best Option
Chapter 36 Best Option
“That son of a bitch! What’s he playing at. Does he think he can just play with people’s life like they are board on a chess board huh? What an asshole!” Alfredo yelled, his tone angry.
“I don’t know what to do Alfredo. I want to just go in there and rip him to streads, but my father won’t be safe.”
Alfredo sighes…. “So what’s your decision Raven? If you tell me now that you can’t do this, I will come right away and break down every walls of Ramos building to save you and your father if you just say the word.”
“And put your life and the lives of your men in danger? I don’t think so Alfredo.” She said.
“I don’t care Raven. As long as I get to save you from that son of bitch! You are worth it.” He said.
Just then Alfonso’s voice was heard at the background requesting that he talks to Raven. So Alfredo hands him the phone.
“Hello, Raven.” He said.
“Alfonso?” Raven replied.
“Surprised huh?” He responded back.
“Yeah, because we don’t really get along?” Raven said.
“I know, but this is not the time for that. I want you to know that I understand what you’re going through right now, but I also want you to understand that this is an opportunity to get close to Ramos even though you hate his guts, to know how you can end him for good.
So if I were you, I will seize this opportunity to get revenge for your father. For causing pains and hurting your father.”
“So are you saying that I should accept the position and kill my humanity for that asshole?” Raven asked.
“Because once I accept, he might tell me to do something that I don’t want to do and if I don’t want to do it, he might threaten to kill father knowing that my father is my greatest weakness.”
Raven, I understand how you feel right now and I know that this is a difficult situation and honestly there’s no easy answer, but let’s try, to break it down and look at all the options shall we?”
“What options? You and I both know that Ramos is heartless and all he knows best to do is kill anyone who disobeys him or steal from him.”
“Yes, but can you just hear me out?” Alfonso said.
“Okay,” Raven said, taking a deep breath. “But let me go first.”
“Let’s start with the risks. If I accept Ramos’s offer, there’s a good chance that I could be in danger. And even if I’m not, my father could be.”
“That’s true,” Alfonso said. “But let’s look at the other side of the coin.
“If you reject Ramos’s offer, he could take it as a sign of defiance and retaliate against your father,” Alfonso said.
“He could also see it as a sign of weakness and try to take advantage of you.”
“That’s what have been saying.” Raven said, “Ramos, won’t hesitate to kill my father if I disobey his order. I’m scared he would tell me to kill someone, and I don’t know if I can do that Alfredo oh I mean Alfonso.”
“As I am concerned about my father’s safety, I am also concerned about my own safety? If I become his right-hand woman, I’ll be putting myself at risk every day.”
“That’s a valid concern,” Alfonso said. “But let’s also consider the potential benefits.
“What potential benefit?” Raven asked.
“If you accept Ramos’s offer, you could potentially gain his trust and use that to help your father,” Alfonso said.
“You could also gather information that could be used to bring Ramos down from the inside. And you would be in a position to warn your father of any impending danger.”
“That’s a lot to consider,” Raven said, feeling a little less overwhelmed. “Let’s go through each option and weigh the pros and cons.”Content © copyrighted by NôvelDrama.Org.
Raven, Alfredo and Alfonso spent the next hour going over all the possible scenarios, weighing the risks and benefits of each. After much discussion, they finally came to a decision.
“I think I know what I’m going to do,” Raven said, a look of determination on her face.
“You’re sure?” Alfonso asked, wanting to make sure she was comfortable with her choice.
“Yes,” Raven said. “It’s a risk, but I think it’s the best option.”
“Okay, then let’s go over the details of the plan,” Alfonso said. “We need to make sure everything is as airtight as possible.”
“I know,” Raven said. “I just need to make sure my father is on board with this.”
