Chapter 6
“Find out the truth” I replied
“Just live that to me,” I said to Jaden.
He nodded in response.
I made my way to her kitchen trying to keep calm and play cool. I found her trying to wash some vegetables.
“Can I help you?” I asked
“Of course, ” she replied
I hurried to help her cut the vegetables trying everything possible to keep calm.
“Is there anything you want to ask me dear?” she asked
Surprised at her question, I said “No”
“Why? Is there anything you want to tell me?” I asked
“No, I thought you might want to ask me something. Because your face says so” she answered.
“Actually, there’s something I want to ask you,” I said
“Okay, go ahead dear” she replied
“I saw my mother’s picture in your living room and to top it all you have two of mine and I don’t know you, I’ve never met you before so why do you have those pictures. I need the truth” I said
“I will tell you at dinner” she replied with a smile on her face.
I helped her prepare the meal and we served it at the dining table immediately.
I met Jaden in the living room he was already sleeping, I guess he has been tired and bored since he had no one to talk to.
“Jaden… Jaden…” I called out to him to wake up
He stood up immediately and asked what was going on. I told him nothing was going on.
“Come let’s eat something,” I said to him
“Wait, did you find anything,” he asked
“Not yet” I replied
We made our way to the dining and found the old lady already seated.
“Have your sit” she said nicely
We sat down. The old lady started eating and urged us to eat. We ate in silence. After eating, I helped her clean up and wash the dirty plates.
“You both should have some rest now, we will continue tomorrow,” she said
“Okay, thank you” I said, feeling disappointed that she didn’t tell me the truth and at the same time grateful for her hospitality
“There are two rooms over there. Let me know if you need anything, I will be at the room over there.” She said pointing at the room at the other corner of the house as she walks to it.
“Okay, thank you” I replied as I made my way to the living room. Jaden was sitting down.
“Did you find anything?” He asked
“Not yet. But I’m sure we will find something tomorrow ” I replied.
“For now let’s get some rest,” I added
I showed him to the room and I went into the room opposite his.
~Eric’s POV~
Pacing around the room waiting for the witch to reveal where Jaden and the lady he saw were.
“If you keep moving like that, I won’t be able to concentrate, ” the witch said
Eric looked at her in anger.
“Get it done with,” he said as he left the roomNôvelDrama.Org holds text © rights.
The witch continued to chant as he left the room.
“Found them,” the witch said
On hearing this, Ryan rushed to inform Eric.
“Where are they?” He asked as he made his way to the room
“I’m not quite sure where they are,” the witch said
“What do you mean you are not quite sure where they are?” Eric asked in anger as his eyes turned red
Frightened at the look on Erics’ face and eyes
“Buh… But I can track them” she said in fear
“I’m listening, ” Eric said
She walked straight to the room that was Rhea’s mother. To the wardrobe and pushed the sixth block at the side and the door opened.
“Keep running Jaden. I will find you wherever you are hiding ” Eric said as he laughed devilishly.
~Alpha Derrick POV~
Alpha Derrick grew up not knowing who his mother was. All he knew was that she died after giving birth to him. He has always blamed himself for the death of his mother until one day, his father told him the truth.
“Derrick, you did not kill your mother. I was cutting woods outside the day it all happened. She was six months pregnant”
There I was cutting woods to make fire for the night only to hear her scream from inside. I rushed inside to see what was going on only to find an “Almost Extinct wolf-like animal” which I’d never seen before. My glance went straight to your mother who was lying helplessly on the ground with her clothes torn apart and wolf scratches on her stomach. I turned to look at the animal that did that to your mother but it was nowhere to be found. I hurried and carried your mother to the bed. I clean her up. She was getting worse every minute so I had to rush to get someone who could help us. The thought of leaving her there alone was precarious. I hoped that the animal won’t come back while I was gone.
I got help and came back to your mother who was lying half dead.
“Please do what you can to help us,” I said to the lady I brought to help us
And she nodded in agreement.
“Please wait outside,” she said to me
I walked outside, pacing around, feeling restless
Ahhhhh…
I heard and rushed inside to see what was going on.
“She’s in labor,” the woman said
“But how, she’s just five months pregnant. She can’t be in labor now” I said to the woman
Ahhhhh
She kept on screaming in pain.
And finally, y she gave birth to you.
“Love him as you loved me” Were her final words.
It was hard for me to back then. I thought you wouldn’t survive but here you are. I watched you as you grew older. You were very different from other kids. I had noticed some changes in you. Like sometimes when you eat, you grew fangs. You used to love vegetables but as time went by you hated them, you always threw up each time you ate them.
I think you are something extraordinary. We just have to find out before it’s late.
