Still with the Same Problem
Haris was still at the dining table. No, this time it wasn’t because he was still eating dinner, but was checking social media on his phone while laughing lightly showing his square smile. Haris also occasionally eats the peas he bought at the supermarket a few days ago. She put them in a plastic jar with the lid deliberately removed. Even to the sound of the door opening, Haris completely ignored it and remained focused on his cell phone.
Gifer, who had just cleaned herself up and her stomach was crying out to be filled, walked past Haris who was just silent while still staring at his cell phone. Gifer frowned while taking a side dish that was already available in the kitchen. Gifer sat right in front of the tall man who was still laughing to himself and typing something on his cell phone.
Feeling ignored, Gifer sighed and immediately ate his food without caring about Haris who was still in his own world. Because he couldn’t stand being ignored, Gifer started the conversation.
“Seriously, what are you reading?” Gifer asked curiously while still chewing his food. Haris raised his head and was surprised because the Friend was suddenly in front of him.
“Oh my! When did you come here, huh?” Haris winced in surprise and stroked his chest.
“You’ve been focusing on that cell phone of yours.” Gifer replied casually and continued his meal.
“Where were you? What took you so long to get home? Is it a date?” Haris asked.
“Canceled my date because of company problems.” Gifer said lightly but with his eyes turned in another direction. Haris could clearly see that his best friend was upset and had a lot on his mind.
“What’s the matter with the company? Didn’t Sekar complete the data correctly? The finance department has also reported everything, right?” Haris widened his eyes in disbelief that there was still another problem in the company after he went home. Gifer looked at both of Haris’ eyeballs with focus.
“Mr. George suddenly canceled the cooperation with the company.”
“Oh my… what kind of drama is this, God.” Haris said, ruffling his hair.
“You’re frustrated, what am I?”
“I was on a date with Belvina, but suddenly Mr. Kevin contacted me that Mr. George canceled the partnership. I went back to the office and Sekar explained everything. The revenue graph data suddenly dropped like that. Sekar had also explained to me that she had provided the correct file and it had even increased. But when it got into Mr. George’s hands it somehow went down.” Gifer explained while still chewing his food.Property © of NôvelDrama.Org.
“Someone must have changed it, Gif.” Haris said.
“Or it was Mr. George himself who didn’t want to continue working with your company.” Haris said.
“Well, I thought so too, but… never mind.” Now it was Gifer who ruffled his hair roughly with a face that was still filled with annoyance.
“That’s it, Gif. Don’t think about it, we’ll find a solution together and do it tomorrow. I’m sure, every problem has a way out. By the way, have you tried checking the CCTV? Who knows, someone deliberately changed the file and was caught on CCTV.”
“No, ok, I’ll check the CCTV tomorrow. But if it’s not there how?”
“Then Mr. George is being subtle, he changed it himself.”
“Yeah, that could be it. That’s what I was thinking too.”
“When you were in New York, Mr. George always forced me to sign the cooperation agreement immediately, but now what? He decided it himself. How strange is that?”
“It makes no sense.” Gifer said.
Just as they were talking, Gifer’s cell phone suddenly rang, and that immediately made them stop the conversation. Gifer had put on a flat face because he felt that his life was not calm because of the company’s problems.
“Aissh, when will my life be calm if it’s like this?” Gifer grumbled.
“Anyway, just pick it up first.” Haris said casually. Gifer walked to his room and took his cell phone, then returned to the dining room.
Seeing that it was his girlfriend who was calling, Gifer immediately showed his smile.
“Hello, sweetheart. What’s up, hm?”
“What are you doing, sweetheart? How’s your problem at the company? Is it over?” Belvina asked from the other side of the phone.
“I’m having dinner with Haris at the apartment. As for the office problem, it’s still unresolved, honey.” Gifer replied.
“Gosh, I hope it gets resolved soon, honey. Am I bothering you?”
“Oh? No, sweetheart. I’m even happy that you’re paying attention like this.”
“Thank goodness, I’ll just end this call, dear, you continue eating. Be strong in facing all your problems.” Belvina said.
“Alright, sweetheart. Thank you, yes. You’re always there when I’m down. Thank you for being my encouragement all this time. I love you, muah.” Gifer said. Haris who heard it was even amused because Gifer was too much of a love child in his opinion.
“Oh my, my best friend is really.” Haris took his cell phone back and ate the peas that had been paused because of talking with Gifer.

The day went by so fast, the sun was already above the human head. Today is the day when Nara is doing therapy for her lungs which are getting worse and worse because the virus is eating away at other limbs, even reaching the nerves of the brain. Because it was getting worse, the doctor suggested aborting Nara’s pregnancy so that Nara could focus on healing her illness, but the girl refused and still wanted to keep the fetus in her womb. Nara continued to feel pain in her lungs and also sometimes had difficulty even breathing.
“Miss, can you still survive in this condition? You should be able to focus on your recovery without having to think about your fetus.” The doctor said.
“No, doctor. Please, just let me focus on my pregnancy.”
“If you continue to delay treatment, your illness may get worse. I know, you’re going to be a mother, but a mother can’t be selfish. If you continue like this, do you think your baby will be healthy too? Not at all. You have to do both, not one or the other.” The doctor advised. Nara thought for a moment, she had to make a decision soon. But, she also needed her brother to decide.
“Give me time to think about it, Doctor.” Nara said.
“Alright, I’ll postpone today’s therapy schedule. But don’t blame me if you don’t recover from your illness.” The doctor said and then left Nara’s hospital room along with other nurses who were ready to do therapy.
After the doctor left, Nara cried. She was confused about what to decide. Her brother and the doctor had suggested the same thing, to terminate the pregnancy. But for Nara, gaining the trust to be given a pregnancy from the man she loved was very difficult. That’s why she didn’t want to lose the baby. She now rubbed her flat stomach.
“I’m sorry, dear. I can’t decide now. But I will guarantee that you will definitely be born in the world safely, I’m sure of it, hiks.. hiks.. hiks..” Nara said while still sobbing.
