Billionaire’s second wife

Chapter 34: Go to Helen’s house

Emma ran close to where Alden stood when suddenly Alden turned around and left.

“Oh, Alden,” Emma called out hurriedly, speeding to follow. She hoped Alden would hear.

Emma’s smile widened when she saw Alden stop. Emma was about to rush to Alden but had to stop when Gavin appeared, standing beside Alden. In the end, Emma’s attempt to reach Alden again failed.

“Why is Alden wandering around? Did you know Mom was looking for friends?” Gavin had a gentle scolding. Alden was walking around on his own with eyes that could see nothing. This is very dangerous. Luckily nothing bad happened.

“Why are you looking for me? Isn’t mom having fun with that girl?” Alden expressed indifference to his brother’s scolding: “I felt very stuffy and uncomfortable in there. So I wanted to go out and breathe some fresh air.”

“You should at least talk to me.” Gavin blamed again.

“I’m not unharmed. You don’t have to worry. Please don’t treat me as useless.”

Gavin didn’t want to argue with Alden, so he lowered his voice.

“Is it time to go home, or do you want to stay here?”

“No,” Alden replied curtly, then walked by using his own intuition. Gavin went behind to ensure Alden’s safety. He decided not to help Alden, but even if he wanted to help, Alden brusquely refused.

Emma, standing in the distance, did not hear the two brothers talking. In her heart, she was curious about the appearance of the two at the hospital. Maybe Alden needs a follow-up? Had she known about this, Emma must have planned to speak to Alden. Emma when she saw Alden gone, instead of turning her back to leave. She decided to follow the Alden brothers, to see if she could find any chance to get close to Alden.

The scene of Helen’s family surrounding, caring, and caring for Cara caught Emma’s eye. She couldn’t believe the treatment Helen’s family gave a girl in a wheelchair. It was completely different from Emma.

Emma wants to know who that girl is. Why was he treated so well by the Alden family? When Helen’s car disappeared, Emma immediately turned around and went to find Lily – who would help Emma answer questions.

On the road. The car Gavin was driving was very quiet. Because Cara is a stranger, there is also Dante – who also wants to go with Cara to Helen’s house.

Right now, Alden was sitting near the door on the right. While Dante sits in the middle and Cara sits on the left. Mrs. Agatha sat in the passenger seat next to Gavin – the driver.

Cara was quite nervous, her hands were sweaty. Express when she feels stressed, or anxious. Dante tried to distract Cara by telling jokes. Cara’s clear laughter attracted the attention of not only Agatha and Gavin but also Alden. It had been a long time since Alden heard laughter like an angel singing. Although the story Dante told was not impressive at all. Yet Cara can laugh so happily. It did make Alden curious about the relationship between the two of them. Unfortunately, Alden did not get to see Cara’s beautiful smile. If he saw it, surely Alden would be moved.

Helen’s villa is very large, very spacious, and splendid. This is the first time Cara has seen such a large house, at least larger than where she lives. Where Cara lives is a simple apartment, in a poor area.

When the car stopped, Dante was ready, wanting to get out quickly to help Cara. He even thought about carrying Cara inside the house if necessary. However, the fact that Alden was still sitting still, refusing to get out of the car, delayed Dante’s plan. Worse, it soon dissipated.Text property © Nôvel(D)ra/ma.Org.

“Can you get off the bus quickly, Alden?” Dante demanded impatiently. This guy seems to be very impatient.

For the first time, Dante saw his friend have such a slow, passionate manner. Normally, Alden will open the car door, and step out as soon as the car has just turned off the engine. Yet today, Alden was still sitting in the car, his expression very relaxed and leisurely. Indeed Alden was in no hurry. Because he has nothing to do for the rest of the day. Also, Alden’s eyes were in a state of being unable to see. Alden didn’t want Dante to know about it. So Alden is waiting for Gavin to help him. Unfortunately, Gavin is busy doing good to Cara, at her mother’s request. Alden waited patiently for his turn.

“Did you hear what I said, Alden? Get off the bus.” Seeing that Alden did not say anything, nor did he respond, Dante showed an irritated expression. Dante just didn’t want Cars to wait. And the most important reason is that Dante doesn’t want to lose the chance to hold Cars in his arms.

“Is there something you’re in such a hurry for? Need to go to the bathroom?” Alden asked angrily, “If that’s the case, why didn’t you go to the hospital earlier?”

Alden doesn’t like people pushing him. That’s why he lost his temper and shouted to Dante: “And whatever the reason, you should learn to be patient. Plus, you chose to sit in that position, and no one forced you. ”

Not wanting to argue with Alden, Dante said bluntly:

“I need to help Cars get off the bus. Did you forget that Cara can’t do it on her own?”

“What’s with that?” “That’s not my concern,” Alden replied nonchalantly.

“Get out of my way.” Dante was furious.

“Dislike.”

Alden remained purposefully still, not moving. Alden’s aim is to see what Dante will do for Cara.

While Dante and Alden were engaged in a childish fight, Gavin was already out of the car. And so is Agatha. Gavin opened the car door and offered to carry Cara out. Meanwhile, Agatha opens the trunk of her car to get a wheelchair.

“Gavin, take it easy. Cara’s leg hasn’t fully recovered yet.” The woman has a reminder.

“I know, mom,” Gavin replied, carefully placing Cara in the wheelchair. Then he had a question:

“Are you okay? Is there any discomfort?”

“I’m fine, thank you for your help.” Cara smiled gratefully at Gavin.

“Then let’s go home,” Gavin suggested and Cara simply nodded.

Gavin then tried to push Cara’s wheelchair, but Agatha quickly stepped in.

“Leave Cara to me, I’ll come to see how Alden is.” The woman said, glancing at the car behind her. Gavin watched, understood what his mother meant, and nodded.

“Get out of the car.” Dante scolded annoyed.

“It’s my right to come down or not, on what basis do you order me?” Alden disagreed, annoyed. He doesn’t like the way Dante gets angry instead of being persuasive and soft.

“You’re so selfish,” Dante growled.

“Ignore me, it doesn’t matter to you.” Alden once again made Dante so angry that he couldn’t say anything.

At this time, Gavin was present and intervened:

“You two stop arguing. Cara and mom are already in the house.”

Dante turned behind him, only to realize that Cara was no longer sitting next to him. Having argued with Alden all this time, Dante had forgotten about Cara. Damn, Dante secretly cursed Alden – who made Dante’s intentions dissipate.

After announcing, Gavin looked at Dante and asked: “Do you want to come in or go home? If you go back, let me tell the driver to take you home.”

“I want to talk to Cara.” When asked, Dante hastily answered, then quickly got out of the car.

“I can call a taxi later,” Dante added one more sentence and quickly ran into the house.

Gavin shrugged lightly, paying no attention to Dante anymore. He turned back to Alden – who was a bit sulky.

“Let’s go home, Alden.”

“I think you forgot me?” Alden reprimanded: “Why don’t you leave me here, come back?”

“Sorry to keep you waiting, please stop sulking,” Gavin said softly.

Alden didn’t answer, just sat still, acting as if he was against Gavin.

“Come on Alden, don’t be childish. You want Dante to find out about your condition now?”

“There’s no way that idiot would know that,” Alden said, feeling a little sorry for Dante.

“Who knows in advance? Anything can happen.” Gavin preached: “If you don’t want to receive pity from others, especially from Dante, then obediently listen to your brother.”

Unable to argue with Gavin’s argument, Alden finally obeyed. It wasn’t going to be a big deal, Alden could wait. But it was all due to Dante arguing with Alden, much to Alden’s annoyance.
