Chapter 40 Jealousy
The woman returned to the banquet hall and greeted the others. Obviously, everyone here knew her, and if that was the case, these people must also know about the relationship between her and Louis.
"What are you going to do with the child after it's born?" Blanche asked.
Judging from the woman's big belly, the baby might be born soon. It was possible that the baby would come into the world before Blanche had a chance to divorce Louis.
Blanche boldly speculated. The woman she had just met seemed a bit weak, and she wondered if that woman wasn't allowed to marry Louis because of her lowly status.
"My child will call me Dad after it's born, of course. It will also call you Mom." © NôvelDrama.Org - All rights reserved.
Blanche touched her smooth forehead, took a deep breath, and tried to calm down after hearing the shocking words. She told herself that Louis was just a complete scu*bag and not worth getting angry with.
She could tell that when the woman gave birth to the child, Louis would bring the baby to the Herbart family and raise him. He wouldn't marry that woman, and Blanche would become the baby's stepmother.
Blanche thought to herself, "This guy is really a total jerk. He owes both women greatly. Although I don't care about him, she has become a laughingstock because of him."
Blanche lowered her head, biting her lip, remaining silent, and gripping the railing tightly with fingers that had turned red.
Louis wondered, "Is this woman jealous?"
He felt that he had had enough fun and intended to explain.
However, Blanche seemed to have made up her mind, raising her head with a heroic look of sacrifice.
"Fine, since the child will call me Mom, I will raise it and treat it as my own child. After all, the child is innocent. It's all your fault. If you couldn't marry the girl, why did you sleep with her and get her pregnant? You scu*bag!"
Of course, Blanche didn't think the woman was any better. After all, the woman hooked up with Louis and got pregnant even if she couldn't even guarantee that she could give the child a home, so she was an irresponsible mother.
Louis's eyebrows furrowed slightly when he heard what she said.
He couldn't believe that Blanche actually accepted the fact that he had a child with another woman and was even going to raise and treat the child as her own.
Louis raised his eyebrows, smiled, and leaned his tall body toward Blanche.
"I didn't expect my wife to be so broad-minded. It seems like I can keep a few more mistresses."
Blanche pushed the man who was approaching, but he was too strong. She couldn't push him away, and he cast a shadow on her as he leaned over.
Blanche thought to herself, "Ha! I'm not really broad-minded. I'm feeling extremely upset, all right? D*mn it! How dare this jerk cheat on me!"
But she didn't like to show her weakness and just shrugged.
"Well, what can I do? The child is innocent and I am naturally kind-hearted. I'm not as heartless as you, always killing people for no reason. Besides, I won't suffer any loss if I can get a baby without getting pregnant. I heard giving birth is quite painful."
Louis listened and felt more and more unhappy. He leaned closer to Blanche and said, "Thank you for understanding, honey. Since you're so considerate, I should reward you."
"What are you doing? Don't come closer. I don't need your reward."
Blanche felt his masculine breath and looked up with difficulty. She saw Louis's Adam's apple move, and the diamond button under his neck reflected a glint of light, appearing blinding.
"Hey, stop coming close," she snapped.
"You just called me a scu*bag. I have to do something to live up to that name, right?"
Louis chuckled and looked at Blanche's frightened and nervous look, finding it quite interesting. After seeing her ears turn red, he stretched out two fingers and gently pinched them. They were soft and tender, feeling great.
"You're just a scu*bag. Don't touch my ears. Get away!"
"Do you realize how many times you've cursed me scu*bag? No one has ever dared to scold me like that before. Do you know how many years the last person who cursed me has stayed in the hospital?"
Blanche shook off his hand, but he grabbed her by the wrist and kneaded it lightly, which caused a tingling sensation throughout her body.
"Silly woman, don't move."
Louis gradually let go of her hand and moved his palm to the top of her head. Blanche could even feel his breath fall on her hair.
"What do you want to do? Let me tell you! If you dare to make a move on me, I won't let you go."
With Louis's body blocking hers, Blanche felt extremely embarrassed and tried to sound tough.
"You won't let me go? What are you going to do then? Are you going to climb onto my bed and teach me a lesson as you did last night?"
Louis laughed meaningfully over Blanche's head.
"It was clearly a misunderstanding last night. It wasn't what you thought!"
Blanche was pissed off. She pushed his chest with her hand, but Louis grabbed her again.
"All right. Your hair is a mess, yet you're still trying to be tough. You're such an ugly woman. If you go out with messy hair, it'll embarrass me."
