Goodbye, Mr. Ex: I've Remarried Mr. Right

Chapter 708

Melody and Shelia stood close together, the picture of a doting grandmother and her beloved granddaughter. From NôvelDrama.Org.

The sight of either of them was enough to disgust Erica, and now they had appeared together.

"What are they doing here?" she muttered with annoyance.

The manager quickly explained, "I've heard that Mr. Nichols is also getting engaged. I presume they're here to select dresses." Erica frowned. "There are only so many high-end boutiques in Seamar City, and we just had to run into these two. Talk about bad luck." Debra shook her head. "Bad luck? I'd say they're here to stir up trouble."

It didn't feel like a coincidence at all. Seamar City had plenty of boutiques, yet they had shown up at the same place and on the same day.

It seemed more like Shelia had intentionally found out where Debra was going and brought Melody along for support.

A staff member placed rows of dresses in front of Shelia. "Mr. Blair, these are our latest products. Feel free to take your pick."

Shelia helped Melody settle onto a plush couch. "Grandma, help me pick. What do you think I should wear for the engagement party?"

Melody, ever the conservative, replied, "It should be something elegant but not too flashy, something that shows grace and class."

The gowns she picked reflected her preference for more traditional styles. But after browsing for a while, neither she nor Shelia seemed particularly impressed by anything.

That was when Shelia glanced over at Debra and raised her voice. "Grandma, look, Ms. Frazier is here too."

Melody's expression darkened as

of Tollowed Shelia's gaze. The sight

of Debra brought back memories of Debra confronting her the other night.

"What's she doing here?" she muttered unhappily.

Oblivious to the tension, the staff member explained with envy, "Mrs. Houston is one of our most esteemed clients. Mr. Houston. commissioned custom engagement gowns and wedding dresses for her.

Melody frowned even further. She still hadn't gotten over losing 30 million dollars.

And to make things worse, she couldn't reach Violet, who had changed her number.

Melody could only blame Debra for everything.

She sneered, "So, it's Juan's ex-wife. The Houstons are lucky to have something we don't want." Her words dripped with malice, and the staff members felt the tension.

Afraid that Debra might overhear, the staff member quickly tried to change the subject. "Ms. Blair, how about we check the gowns inside? There are more beautiful ones."

Shelia ignored her suggestion and asked, "Ms. Frazier's dress isn't off the rack, is it?"

The staff member hesitated before replying, "No, this is a custom design, and Mrs. Houston is here today for her fitting."

Shelia tugged at Melody's arm. "Grandma, I think these ready-made gowns are a bit too common. Why don't we get a custom-made one too?"

The staff member nodded. "Custom-made does tend to fit better. What style would you like, Ms. Blair?"

Shelia replied, "The same style as hers."
