His Cure

Lesbian?

**

Beatrice got back home and slumped on the couch and let’s out a grunt.

“I haven’t had a proper meal till now.”she sighed and palmed her face.

She went inside the kitchen minutes later and made a toast bread for herself then fried some eggs alongside too.

She placed the fried eggs on the toast and breathed in the nice aroma.

“Voila! Breakfast is ready.”she ululated before snagging a box of orange juice from the fridge and moved out of the room.

She switched the TV on before biting into the amazing food.

She munched on it noisily and looked up at movie playing on the television.

She sniveled and stabbed a straw on the carton of the juice then slurps enormously from the drink in a single breath.

..

*Knock knock knock*

“Again?. The hell you want?”Gregory wore a crumpled look when the secretary knocked on the door yet again.

She opened the door and rushed inside.

“I didn’t ask you to come i–”

“I apologize for the invasion but, there is a bit of a problem, boss.”

Gregory relaxed back in his chair and scoffs.

“Don’t tell me you’ve misplaced the files again?. Have you sent the wrong proposal to a com–”

“This is not about the company, sir. It’s about you. No, maybe it does have to do with the company but sir! You’re in deep trouble. You know Olivia?, she dropped a post on her Instagram account—”

“It seems you’re really ready to lose your job, huh?. How am I in a deep trouble because she dropped a post?. When have I ever cared about these..”

“Your wife, miss Beatrice!”

Now, that seems to grab his attention.

Has she caused a trouble?

Or bust the bubble?

“Olivia said your wife is a lesbian and she has eyes for miss Winifred, her girlfriend.”

Gregory blinked and scrunched up his nose.

“Lesbian?. That doesn’t make sense.”he sighed, relieved that it was just that.

“It is causing so much buzz on the internet. Many people are doubting your marriage. This would not do us any..”

“Jeez, fine, I get that. Get out.”

“B-but, sir?”

“I will be the one to solve this, no?. So get out. Tell the PR team to counter-attack that false claim.”he instructed.

She nodded reluctantly then left.

“Well.. seems someone is forgetting about their place.”he mumbled under his breath before logging into his Instagram account.

Olivia’s father is beneath his in the ranking list but she dared to throw a stone at his glassy window?

**

“It seems fate is really on our side. Spread the news.. you could mobilize some other reporters to go with you back to the company. Oh, this is really good!”Tisha giggled.

Her right hand was holding her phone to her right ear while her left hand got busy with scrolling down on instagram on her tablet.

**

“What should we do about this, sir?”

“Ah!”Henry cracked up.

“I will make a post on my account. That should be enough to cause more buzz. It would he really hard for Gregory to cover this one.”he cackles.

**

Although, Amelia doesn’t seem to fancy Olivia before but with the post she made in her Instagram page, she instantly became a darling to her.

She should help in dividing and circulating this revelation around too.

“The heavens are with me.”

..

Olivia’s father rushed down the stairs while dialing Henry’s number.

He looks jittery.

“Where is Olivia?”he thundered at a maid.

“Sh.. she is in her room.”the maid replied with shaky voice.

He marched towards her room and whacked the door opened.

He glanced at the screen of his phone anxiously.

“Ugh, dad. You should knock befo–”

“Shut it, Olivia! Do you know what you have done?. Don’t you know the aftermath of messing with Henry and Lopez?!”he shouts at her.

Olivia who had just finished dressing up huffs.

“Well, I wasn’t targeting them. I’ve got my eyes only on that b! tch. Who..”

The call dropped and he squinted his eyes and redialed his number again.

“Delete that post, right now!”

“Dadddd..”she drawled out in a whine.

He frowns at her.

“You will listen to me, Olivia. Delete that post right now.”he said with a tone of finality.

“But, I can’t. So many comments, reactions and all.. I really can’t..”she shrugged and pouts, giving him a puppy eyes but that definitely wasn’t working on him that moment.

“Oh, that is all that matters to you right now?. Are you forgetting the people you’re dealing with here? ”

“Come on, dad. Cool down. Why looking like a scaredy – cat. They are rich and you are! Besides, I understand about Henry but what has this got to do with Jennifer’s father?”

He took a gulp down as the fifth ring of the line pierced inside his ears.

“Jennifer and Gregory are supposed to get married. Now, messing with Gregory means you’re doing the same to Lopez! ”

“Duhh.. even when Gregory is trying to marry another woman?. I’m sure Mr Lopez wouldn’t give a fuck about that.”she rolled her eyes and grabbed a contact lens case, attempting to change the lenses of her eyes.

“Hello.”Henry voice sounded.

He took a deep breath in and out.

“Mr Winslow, I apologize for..”

“About the post your daughter made?”

“Yes. She will delete it so..”

“No, she don’t have to do that.”Henry chuckled.

He stared at his daughter who’s attention was far away from him.

She was busy trying to beautify herself.

“R.. really??”Property © of NôvelDrama.Org.

“Yes. Good day.”Henry chimed and hung up.

“See?. I told you daddy..”she cooed.

**

“News, more news are spreading, sir. Reporters are outside and are trying to infiltrate the building. Boss, I..”

“Geez, I never know that my secretary is such a dramatic person. Stop coming here to give me news. Just go do something to stop this madness!”

She left again and Harry came in.

“Well, things are in fire now, Gregory. How do you..”

“Don’t ask me any question, Harry. I would understand if anyone does, but not you.”he frowned.

..

When she was done eating, Beatrice went to dump the carton of the juice in the trash can then wash her hands.

She came back to the living room and sat down heavily on the sofa and massaged her neck.

Her phone vibrated beside her and she looked down at the caller.

Gregory?

Why is he calling her?. This is his first.

She took her phone and swiped to the right.

“Are you aware of the trouble you’ve caused, Author?”his voice was cold and dreary.

“I… don’t get. Did you just say trouble?”she arched her brows.

“You caused it, and, you should bear responsibility for it. You’d better come up with a plan to solve that.”
