Love With My Billionaire Boss

Fight for your love

Fight for your love

Supporting her daughter's decision.

The Stone's Residence.

Nicole was seated comfortably in the living room. A maid was trimming her nails.

She was in a fairly good mood. It's been a week since her daughter visited them. However, she was already missing her.

Was it her fault?

Was it easy to be separated from one's daughter for nineteen years?

It wasn't at all...

As she immersed herself in her thoughts,a guard came in to report.

"Madam, Mr Stephen is here." He bowed.

Stephen?

What was he doing here?

"Let him in. You may leave." She waved the maid away.

The maid bowed respectfully and left.

Stephen came into the living room. He was feeling oppressed. The whole mansion was and looked expensive. Splendor, elegance, beauty, were all present in the mansion.

The Stone family were fucking rich....

"Young man, didn't you call Michelle before coming here?" Whenever Quinn wasn't around, they referred to her as Michelle.

"Good day, Madam Nicole. It's a pleasure meeting you." Stephen bowed respectfully.

"That doesn't answer my question, young man." Nicole ignored his greeting and returned sharply.

Stephen was confused. Was there any need for her to be so strict towards him?

"I didn't call her. I'm not here to see her but you, Madam Nicole." Stephen remained standing.

He was waiting for her to tell him to sit,but she didn't.

"To see me? Are you worthy of that?" Nicole narrowed her eyes.

Stephen broke out in cold sweat under her cold stare.

If she was giving him cold shoulders right from now, how were they going to have a proper conversation?

"I'm sorry Madam Nicole if you see it as such. But,I'm here in regards to your daughter." Stephen said nervously.

The way she was looking at him gave him chills.

After the dinner with Quinn, he had decided to meet her mother directly. Maybe if he explained his intentions to her, she may help him persuade her daughter.

After all, Quinn wouldn't disobey her mother would she?

"Michelle? Sit." Nicole gestured him to a seat.

He bowed and sat on the sofa opposite hers.

Nicole clasped her fists and waited for him to speak. She didn't have a good impression of him.

She didn't know why,but she felt he had an ulterior motive.

"Madam Nicole,to be honest...," He began speaking when he was interrupted.

"Go straight to the point, young man." Nicole said sharply.

If it weren't for the fact that her daughter had a good relationship with this man, she wouldn't even spare him a second glance.

Did he have any right to speak with a Stone?

The audacity!

"I like Quinn, Madam Nicole. I wish to date her." Stephen was afraid of her reaction.

He shouldn't have come here... He was now feeling stupid..

"What...did...you...say?" Nicole questioned slowly.

"I said..." Text content © NôvelDrama.Org.

"Forget it, why are you telling me this?" Nicole asked.

Stephen was stumped; couldn't she understand his intentions?

Or,was she deliberately making things difficult for him?

"I tried telling her, but.... but..." Stephen began stuttering.

"But what? Speak up, I have things to do, young man." Nicole was getting irritated.

"She declined. I suspect it's because of Henry." Stephen decided to test if she was aware of Henry's existence. If she wasn't, he was going to snitch a little.

'Forgive me, Quinn.' Stephen apologized inwardly.

At the mention of Henry, Nicole raised her brows. She finally understood his intentions.

But she pretended not to know who Henry was...

"Henry? Who is that?" Nicole calmly asked.

Stephen smiled inwardly...

"He's her ex boss and the father of her child. However recently, he had been pestering her. They are even about to sign a business deal together. The problem is, Henry has a fiancee..." Stephen divulged.

Nicole scoffed inwardly...

She hated men who snitched in this manner...

"Stephen,or whatever your name is, my daughter's personal life is her business. My responsibility as a mother is to stop her from getting hurt. If you love her, fight for it." Nicole spat disdainfully.

Stephen was shocked at her words... Wasn't she annoyed that her daughter,a Stone, had worked as a maid for someone?

"But..." He opened his mouth to protest.

"But nothing... My daughter's decision is my decision! And don't you dare utter such words before me again. If there is nothing else, you may leave." Nicole said firmly.

The dignity of the Stones mustn't be trampled upon...

How could she go chasing after someone just because her daughter worked as a maid for him before?

It wasn't as if he was even aware of her identity... She had even gained experience... She wasn't a spoilt heiress at all...

As for the child... A grand daughter was welcome...

If her daughter decided she wanted Henry as her man,she would get him for her.

That was the power of a Stone ...

Who dared to question their decision?

Stephen felt awkward and embarrassed....

He had come here with good intentions, but was now made to look like a bad person....

"Okay then, I'll take my leave now." Stephen bowed and left without waiting for her to respond.

After he left, Nicole's gaze turned cold.

How dare he?

Wasn't he afraid of her wrath?

"Who's there?!" She raised her voice a little.

A maid hurried out and bowed.

"Make me a cup of espresso." She needed something bitter to calm her nerves.

Her husband always said her taste was weird.

Other people needed wine,or something sweet to calm their nerves.

Hers was a cup of espresso without sugar... Weird..

"Yes Madam.." She bowed and headed back to the kitchen.

.....

In few minutes time, the cup of espresso was placed on the table in front of her. She gently sipped on it...

She needed to have a proper conversation with her daughter.

Whom did she like amongst the two men?

She wasn't concerned if one had a fiancee or not. It was only an engagement after all...

If her daughter liked him,she was going to get him for her daughter.

As simple as that...

But first of all,her daughter had to decide first.

She continued sipping her espresso...
