Chapter 87 You Have a Man in Your Home, Don't you?
In the recent two weeks, they hadn't talked much with each other. William also sensed the change
between them. But this time his method didn't work anymore so he had no choice but to stare at his
father with much disappointment.
Eva indulged herself in her work until mid-January when Luxstar was about to hold an annual
conference. Eva could then have two days off. Now she had been in a cold war with Caleb for almost a
month and they were still in the cold war.
"Who are you going with to the annual conference?" Adam said to Eva, who was leaving the set.
"I'm going there alone," Eva said calmly.
"Don't you want a company?" Adam said intendedly.
Eva frowned, "Why do I need one?"
What Adam implied was that he could be Eva's plus-one at the annual conference. But Eva didn't
understand his implication at all.
Now it was already too late to invite Eva.
Bonnie had prepared a gown for Eva and had let her try it on. The gown was quite decent and elegant.
It could show Eva's beautiful figure but also looked much plainer than the famous actors of the
company.
"Okay, Eva, I will pick you up tomorrow afternoon from your home when I finish all the preparations,"
Bonnie said to Eva on the phone.
"No, thanks, Bonnie, I will go to the company directly and then we can get to Marriott together," Eva
declined her request because she didn't want Bonnie to pick up her from the place she lived now. If so,
Bonnie would know she was now living with Caleb.
"So, you don't need me to pick you up from home?" Bonnie appeared a bit confused.
"No, Bonnie, I'll see you in the company." Eva promised to Bonnie.
But Bonnie was still quite worried about her. The annual conference was an important event which the
mega boss, Caleb Livingstone, would also attend. If Eva was late or absent, she would leave a bad
impression on him.
Bonnie tried to talk her out of it and then after a while, Eva compromised and agreed that Bonnie would
pick her up from her home.
"Tell me, Eva, you have a man in your home, don't you?" Bonnie asked suddenly.
Eva said in a low voice, "No, definitely not."
"You sure about that?"
"Very sure," Eva said firmly. There wasn't a man in her home. She lived in her man's home. And she
wouldn't let Bonnie know her man's name.
Luckily, Bonnie was merely curious about that and she didn't ask more questions. Otherwise, Eva might
have told everything to her.
When she hung up the phone and got to the living room, Eva saw Caleb and William sitting on the sofa.
Their faces looked the same and their postures the same. And they were looking at her simultaneously.
"Eva is blushing." William wrote on the board.
"Why are you blushing?" Caleb also asked.
Eva was still angry at him and she refused to answer his question, "I'm not blushing, Liam."
William shook his head and fetched a little mirror for her to let her see how red her face was.
"I just feel a bit hot. What book are you reading? You wanna hear stories?" Eva had a glimpse into the
mirror and changed the topic hastily.
And she simply ignored Caleb's question and the man himself.
Caleb stared at her, who ignored him on purpose. Alas, what a woman.
"Shall we play some video games, Eva?" William wrote on his board and invited Eva to play video
games with him.
Eva agreed instantly, "Sure."
William stood up from the sofa and unfolded his arms towards Eva to let her hug him. Eva then held
him in arms and walked towards the game room.
Though she had a few bruises on her body, she had become more accustomed to the martial art
training with the agility and learning ability she acquired in the training she received in the past.
When she held William in arms, she felt her bruise hurt and she tried hard to keep her body from
shaking. She acted as normal as she could and was about to leave.
But before she could leave, Caleb walked over to her from behind quickly and took William. He noticed
the subtle change on her.
"Accompany me to Marriot tomorrow," Caleb put William down onto the sofa and sat down.
Eva frowned at the one who appeared extremely obedient, "We didn't invite you, Mr. Livingstone."
"So, I'm not allowed to be here?" Caleb asked in a low voice.
"Of course you are allowed. It's your home anyway. You can do whatever you want in this house." Eva
felt Caleb was a bit strange these days.
Eva's words were heard by Caleb. But he chose to sat here motionlessly.
William was a kid and some video games were unsuitable for him. Eva chose some games suitable for
him, which was quite boring for her to play. Later it was Caleb who was holding the gamepad and
playing the video game with her.
When the couple got a stage clear through cooperation, Eva held the man who sat beside her with
excitement.
Caleb was then in her arms with confusion.
"That's my girl." Caleb said with a gentle smile on face.
It was then when Eva knew the one who she held in arms was Caleb. She pushed him away and said,
"No, I didn't mean to hug you."
"Oh," Caleb said in a husky voice, titillating Eva, whose face was blushed scarlet.
Seeing her red face, Caleb didn't say anything but stared at her quietly.
But Eva still left the room quickly with a red face and got back to her room.
"You're so weak, Eva! Don't get seduced by his voice, Eva!" Eva scolded herself in her mind.
A night of good dream.
Next day, Eva got up early and slapped some makeup before she went to the company to put on the
gown.
Right after she got ready, she received a call from Bonnie.
"Are you ready, Eva? We should depart now." This is from NôvelDrama.Org.
"Okay. I will go downstairs right now."
Eva hung up the phone and was about to run outwards. But she was stopped by Caleb at the door.
"Where are you heading?"
"It's none of your business." Eva tried to circumvent Caleb.
But she failed and Caleb still moved to stand in front of her.
Caleb looked down at her silently for a while and Eva finally had no choice but to inform him, "I'm going
to the annual conference. Bonnie is waiting for me outside."
