My Fabulous Wife

Chapter 19

Chapter 19

Old madam woke up? Noticing the police with handcuffs attempting to catch Annette, a sharp and cold flare sparkled in Waynett’s black eyes and the aura of him turned stiff and frightening.

The hand of the police froze in the air.

Everyone stood in fear.

Yet Annette hadn't even moved her finger so far, just standing on the stairs idly, hands in the pockets.

"Grandma woke up." Waynett said drily.

The color of everyone's face changed.

"What? She woke up?"

She was really cured?! A plain girl should have cured the illness which had puzzled Fiona! Was it purely out of good luck? Annette didn’t show any expression, still standing there, just bending the other leg.

Her black hair blown by the night wind, she looked heavenly beautiful with her innate chill, as well as the sense of rebellion. She took out a delicate little pen and a small piece of paper from her pocket, and scribbled on it.

Now, she looked extremely pretty in the lamplight, with tens of eyes focused on her in silence.

After half a minute, she passed Waynett the paper between her long white fingers.

"This is my prescription.Take it for one more week for a complete recovery."

Waynett took it over and just felt speechless at the awkward handwriting.

Annette put her hands back inside the pockets.

"I’ve got to go.So, see you."

She told Veromca and walked down the stairs with presumptuous steps and arrogant expression. So supercilious! Veromca could only say nothing to that.

Gazing after her slim and tall figure, Waynett lifted his eyebrows a little.

"Annette."

Annette stopped to look round. He smiled with dignity, though still languorously.

"When will the next treatment of acupuncture be?"

Next treatment? Annette beamed too, though still coldly and naughtily. Her pleasant voice didn't lack chilliness either.

"Take the medicine as prescribed. She will recover in one week."

She said slowly.

Veromca was too stunned to speak, hearing that.

"Excuse me, I really have to go."

Putting on her black cap, she turned back and left, only leaving a cold back to the people behind.

And her legs appeared so long and straight under the moon.

Veromca cursed everyone present in his heart for a thousand times though his lips were tightly shut.

This group of fools must have made the mogul very unhappy.

"Where did you spot such a person?" Exclusive content from NôvelDrama.Org.

Waynett asked, watching toward Annette’s direction.

Veromca turned to Waynett and their eyes locked.

Looking at Waynett’s cold and deep eyes, Veromca flashed on something and then acted casually, "I know she's good at acupuncture and I just want a go, as it's said that doctors you've invited haven't come up with solutions."

Waynett didn’t say anything. It was hard to tell whether it was because he believed it or not.

Veromca was a little scared of this nephew of his.

This boy's mind was too deep to detect.

He thus coughed and said, "Now that mother's alright, I'll be back to Shiveport now."

He couldn't wait to leave.

Waynett slid one hand into his pocket, narrowing his good looking eyes significantly.

Inside the room.

Old Mrs Lancaster had come to herself for a moment and then fell asleep again as she was still quite weak.

Fiona gave her a complete going-over.

The blood clot in her brain had almost diffused and it might just take two or three more months at most to clear even without treatment.

Holding the medical report, Fiona caught her breath a little as all were too inconceivable! The army medics felt it impossible too.

They said hesitantly, "Miss Lancaster, may the disappearance of the clot be the result of the drainage you conducted? It just took some more time to pay off."

No.

Drainage never took long time to pay off.

Hearing that, Fiona numbed a little, just slowly turning her eyes to the three medics.
