Closing his eyes, Nathaniel called his secretary.

“Come in.”

Leila watched Janet go out angrily, and was a little apprehensive when she entered again.

“Mr. Webster?”

Nathaniel brought up the crystal box, stared at it for a long time, and then handed it to her. “Pack it up

and give it to the president of the Longfellow Group, and say that it is a little compensation for divorcing

her.”

Huh?

The president of the Longfellow Group was actually Mr. Webster’s ex-wife!

Why did Alfred never tell her?

Leila was extremely shocked.

“Okay, okay, Mr. Webster!”

Leila could still remember that at that time, Nathaniel told her that when Janet arrived, she should be

very polite to Janet. Content property of NôvelDra/ma.Org.

At first, she thought it was just because Mr. Webster valued the Longfellow Group very much. Still, she

didn’t expect that the president of the Longfellow Group was actually Mr. Webster’s mysterious ex-wife!

Why did the president want a divorce?

Janet was such a beauty. Wasn’t she much better than Anastasia, who came to the company to flaunt

herself from time to

time?

Leila held her chin and turned around stiffly.

“By the way…” Nathaniel spoke again, but after a long silence, he sighed softly again, “Forget it. She is

not short of money

now. Go ahead and send it over in person.”

Nathaniel always felt that such a set of antiques was not enough to compensate him for his

misunderstanding of Janet being a

gold digger.

But obviously, Janet was no longer short of money.

Therefore, Nathaniel could only give up.

But Nathaniel’s behavior, in Leila’s view, was clearly a call for the two to reconcile!

However…

Thinking of Anastasia’s complacent look and the raging news outside, Leila could only sigh slightly.

It seemed impossible for Mr. Webster and Ms. Longfellow to get back together.

But…

“A gift for Mrs. Webster.”

“To: Mrs. Webster.”

Regardless of whether they could get back together or not, Leila would send it over.

Besides, Leila was unwilling to accept Anastasia as Mrs. Webster from the bottom of her heart.

However, such a note led to an embarrassing scene in the Longfellow Group.

“It is for Mrs. Webster. How could it be sent to our company?”

“Mrs. Webster, who is it? Anastasia?”

“But Anastasia hasn’t married Mr. Webster yet.”

“Maybe it’s for Mr. Webster’s ex-wife. Is she in our company? Impossible! Who could it be?”

The receptionist didn’t know who Mrs. Webster was, and the gift was too expensive, so she decided to

store it because she thought the sender would come over to find it.

However, it was put on hold later, and no one paid attention to it anymore.

After Janet left the Webster Group in a rage, she called Ernest directly.

After receiving Janet’s call, Ernest was delighted. “Jill, did you miss me? Could it be that you want to

invite me to dinner?”

Janet paused. “Do you know if Nathaniel has had any cooperation recently?”

Hearing Janet’s solemn tone, Ernest stopped joking. “Jill, why did you suddenly ask about him? What’s

wrong?”

“It’s nothing. I just want to teach Nathaniel a lesson.”

Janet’s tone was cold. Because of Nathaniel’s skeptical words, she felt her heart was still throbbing.

Only Nathaniel could have such a great influence on her.

“Did Nathaniel make you angry again?”

Ernest guessed the situation at once.

Looking at the blue sky, Janet felt that today’s sunshine was particularly dazzling.

“I confessed to Nathaniel that I married him because I liked him,” Janet said.

Ernest became nervous subconsciously.

“What did he say?”

“He didn’t believe it.”

“This heartless bas*ard!!” Ernest instantly began to scold Nathaniel. “Jill, don’t be sad. There are so

many excellent men in

this world, and you don’t have to chase after him.”

While talking, Ernest quickly picked up his car keys. No matter how his manager shouted behind him,

he hurriedly got into his

supercar in his costume.

“Nathaniel said that I married him for three years to plot against the Webster Group with my beauty.”

Janet continued.

She said lightly as if it was something insignificant, but Ernest knew very well how much harm such a

sentence would cause.

During her three-year marriage, Janet devoted herself and tried her best to get along with everyone in

the Webster family. She abandoned the management of the Longfellow Group for many years.

However, Nathaniel’s words denied all her efforts.

“He’s just an ungrateful bas*ard. No, he is not even human! Jill, don’t be mad at him. I’ll come to you

right away, and I fully support you in bringing down Nathaniel!”

First, she divorced her beloved husband. And then, she received news that her ex-husband was going

to remarry immediately.

Now, she finally confessed her feelings but was suspected of having other plans.

Ernest was afraid that Janet would be overwhelmed by this heavy blow and that she would commit

suicide.

“I’m fine. Don’t worry.”

Janet’s tone was calm. It was as scary as the silence before the storm. “He thought I was just trying to

plot against him for the past three years, so I’ll prove that I can overthrow his company without this

marriage!”

Ernest was a famous star, and his network and information acquisition channels were no worse than

Longfellow’s Group and even better.

He nodded. “I have your back, Jill. I have discovered that Nathaniel plans to expand in financial

technology and cooperate with the Gonzalez Group in Rugnice. Longfellow’s Group has always been

on good terms with the Gonzalez Group. I think you can start with that.”

After all, these successful people in business often use young and beautiful female stars or docile male

stars to cheer them up.

Therefore, Ernest got a lot of secret news by just sending a message.

In just a few words, he found out about the relatively confidential cooperation.

Hearing what Ernest said, Janet remembered that Nathaniel indeed had mentioned this matter when

she talked with him.

“Is there any specific information?”

If it was just about the Gonzalez Group and the cooperation in financial technology, the Longfellow

Group was the best in this field.

She was bound to win this cooperation!

“Nathaniel, get lost!”
