Reborn As The 116
Chapter 116
The helicopters had different blessings written in colors similar to the tail wings, such as "Peace and Joy", "Smooth Sailing", "Dreams Come True", and "Top Actress". These slogans were eye-catching but not at all obtrusive. They even had a certain aesthetic appeal. Although everyone was surprised to learn that the gift was helicopters, seeing them with their own eyes was still shocking.
The helicopters landed smoothly on a spacious lawn not far away, and then the cabin doors opened, revealing several pilots dressed in camouflage uniforms. They followed the lead pilot in an orderly fashion and stood at attention.
As the crowd watched in astonishment, the lead pilot stepped forward, came to a halt, saluted, and spoke in one breath. "Reporting to Ms. Vanderbilt, the Future Wings helicopter squadron has assembled. There are twelve expected, and twelve arrived. Pilot Blade at your service."
This scene left everyone speechless. The staff had never seen such a grand display before and stood frozen in place. Even Victor, who had witnessed many grand occasions, could not respond.
A young staff member, confused, asked, "Are these helicopters anything special?"
An informed colleague quickly replied, "The Future Wings helicopter squadron is a designation for strategic reserve units, typically used by national agencies. How can the mere word 'special' describe them?
"It's not just that. Did you see that Captain Blade? He's the highest-ranking pilot officer at the national level. What does that mean? If it were in the past, we would have to bow to him."
"I know him!" another staff member chimed in excitedly. "Last time, a prominent director wanted Blade to help direct a scene for a new movie, but he didn't even get to see Blade's face.
"Yes! He's such a big shot! Ordinary people can't even reach him"
While those two were discussing animatedly, a staff member in the corner swallowed hard and said, "Um, I got something to say. I don't know much about planes, but the background painting on the helicopter looks like Irving's work." "Irving? Could it be the Irving I'm thinking of?" someone chimed in.
The person quickly nodded. "Yes, that's him."
Another person interjected, "Is he impressive?"
"Irving rarely shows up. Just a casual paint costs hundreds of thousands of dollars. His previous works have already been collected by museums. What do you think?"
Their conversation was not loud, but the entire crew was very quiet, so nearly everyone heard them.
Gloria was also a bit shocked, thinking, 'Although the Vanderbilt family is indeed wealthy and can be considered a prominent family, and my brothers all have succeeded in their area, being able to hire a national-level pilot and get Irving to paint is too unbelievable. Based on Samuel's connections, he definitely wouldn't be able to pull that off."
Suddenly, Gloria felt uneasy, think
something might be off.
A female staff member, unaware of her thoughts, saw Gloria standing there silently and assumed she was too moved. She reminded her, "Gloria, why are you just standing there? The captain is still waiting for your reply. I've heard you have six brothers who love you. And now I see it. You're so lucky!"
Gloria immediately snapped back to reality, thinking, 'Although Samuel may not be able to make it happen, there's still Andrew. Perhaps Samuel asked for Andrew's help. With this thought, her doubts finally eased, and she felt somewhat relieved. 20:56 Fri, Nov 15

Gloria calmly took a step forward, raised her chin proudly, and looked at Blade with disdain. "That's enough. You can go back now and not disturb the crew's normal workings."

Gregory, sitting under the sunshade with Eleanor, rolled his eyes at this scene, stamping his foot angrily and thinking, "That scoundrel, Samuel! He must know I'm in this crew, so he put on such a grand show to flaunt himself. I'm really pissed off." Gregory huffed. "It's just a few helicopters. He's making it seem like I can't afford them. I can fly, too. Hmph, he only bought twelve. I'll buy twenty-four, more than half again. Let him see what a real tycoon looks like."
Eleanor raised an eyebrow, looking at Gregory curiously. "Can you really buy twenty-four?" Eleanor thought, 'Although Gregory is currently a top celebrity, twenty-four helicopters would cost quite a sum. Even Andrew only bought three for daily use." Gregory crossed his legs and acted like a rich man. "I can't actually buy them. I'm just talking big. The domineering CEOs in novels are always like this."
Eleanor chuckled helplessly, "I knew it.".
Suddenly, Gregory leaned closer to Eleanor with a mysterious air. "Eleanor, while I can't compete with Samuel in helicopters, I have my hundred avengers, and defeating him would be a piece of cake." Eleanor didn't understand. "Your avengers? What's that?"
Gregory pulled out his phone, opened Twitter, and a long list of account names appeared on the screen. [Samuells Rubbish (alternate account one), Samuells Rubbish (alternate account two), Samuells Rubbish (alternate account three).] And it 1. up. continued with a total of one hundred, all neatly lined
Eleanor couldn't help but laugh out loud, "Did you just gather an army on Twitter? You could have spent the time more wisely. Plus, you annotated them as alternate accounts. Aren't you afraid someone will expose you?" Gregory replied boldly, "Not afraid. A great person once said, 'Fear only emboldens the enemy. We should pick up our weapons and bravely strike them down.""
Upon hearing this, Eleanor narrowed her eyes. She hadn't heard this quote as a distinguished PhD from a prestigious university and thought, 'Could it be foreign?" "Who is this great person?" she asked sincerely. Gregory smiled, pointing to his own nose, "It's me."
Eleanor frowned at Gregory, thinking, 'Gregory should get along well with Liam. After all, there's no gap between two fools."
Gregory noticed the look in Eleanor's eyes and frowned. "Eleanor, what's with that look? Why do I see disdain in your eyes? Do you look down on me?"
Eleanor closed her eyes, lowered her head to look at her script, and said, "No, you misread my expression."
