Remarriage His Billionaire Ex-Wife

Chapter 271

  Chapter 271

Jessica took out a small box from the drawer and there was a necklace inside.

It was the necklace that Jessica found when she returned to that room five years ago. She had always thought it was Lucas'. Yet she later learned it belonged to Terry.

Ever since she found out that the necklace was Terry's, she had never brought it with her anymore. She kept it in the box.

Now that she looked at the necklace and had a new doubt.

Why would Terry's necklace appear in that room?

She checked the time before she called Terry.

Terry was very happy when he received Jessica's call. She rarely took the initiative to call him.

Jessica invited him out for dinner, and the two of them arrived at a steakhouse not far from the Hall Group.

When Terry arrived, Jessica was already sitting in the reserved seat. He looked at Jessica's back, and a feeling of longing surged in his heart.

He quickly walked over and looked at Jessica with a smile. "Long time no see."

"Yes, long time no see, Mr. Davison." Jessica said lightly.

Her tone sounded distant. He then sat across from Jessica with confusion.

Jessica took out the box containing the necklace, placed it on the table, and pushed it over.

"It's yours. I'm giving it back."

Terry took the box in confusion. He opened the box and then raised his eyebrows slightly. He then looked up at Jessica. "Why?"

"I want to hear about the necklace." Jessica did not answer and said instead.

Terry panicked. He took a sip of water and said, "It's not time yet. I'll tell you about the whole thing in due course."

"When is the due course? The time when Oscar owns the Thomas Group with your help?" Jessica said with a smile.

"Jessica, listen to me. I helped Oscar because..." Terry hurriedly wanted to explain.

His words were directly interrupted by Jessica.

"Actually, I don't care about your cooperation with Oscar. After all, you are the person in charge of the Davison Group, and I am not." Jessica pursed her lips and said, "I'm more concerned about why I found this necklace in that room after Oscar arranged for someone to drug me five years ago. And what role did you play back then?"

As Jessica's voice fell, the expression on Terry's face suddenly froze. The next moment, when he looked at Jessica, he felt that his whole world was crumbling.

He struggled to open his mouth and said, "Jessica, I..."

"Just answer my question," Jessica said expressionlessly.

"I didn't help him. I didn't help Oscar," Terry explained drily. "After you left, I went to the room and took away the glass Lucas once drank with. As for the necklace, I left it there due to carelessness."

"Okay, thank you, Mr. Davison." Jessica's heart was filled with disappointment. She no longer wanted to say anything to Terry. She prepared to get up and leave.

Terry suddenly grabbed her arm, his face filled with regret and guilt. He said, "Oscar is an illegitimate son of Louis, so he has been bullied and ridiculed by all kinds of people. His mentality has become extreme, which is why he did such a thing. I know you are innocent, and I have been watching you silently since then. Later, I really fell in love with you. I did not pursue you for revenge."

"So?" Jessica turned her head to look at Terry and asked.

  Terry was lost for words.

Jessica pulled her arm away and looked at Terry. "Deception is deception."

Jessica drove away from the restaurant, and she drove aimlessly on the road. Even the night scene in Los Angeles made her feel that her life was just a dream. She kept moving forward.

In the end, she felt a little tired before turning around and returning to her apartment.

Jessica got out of the car and saw Wendy. She walked forward doubtfully and said, "Wendy, why are you here so late at night?"

"Miss Hall, you must take a look at it." Wendy solemnly handed over a document.

Jessica nodded, but she still asked curiously, "Is it important? Why not give it to me tomorrow?"

"Miss Hall, when I was investigating Oscar, I found that he had contacted Luna. Following this direction, I found that a few days before Mr. Thomas passed away, Luna had been to visit him," Wendy said.

"But the cause of death has been announced. It is an overdose of drugs." Jessica frowned.

"I know. It's just that Oscar asked someone to prescribe some medicine to reduce blood pressure, but as far as I know, neither he nor Louis has the disease."All content © N/.ôvel/Dr/ama.Org.
