Chapter 2
Juno’s POV
I dragged my a$$ to my truck, knowing that anything might happen today, even the rejection of the golden eye wolf.
No, he will not; he desires us.
“How did you find out?”
Last night, he followed us home. He was probably expecting us to show up at the ball today. We look stunning. He could not possibly reject us.
“You’re exuding confidence right there.”
Juno, we are stunning. He can’t stand up to us.
My wolf’s statements made me chuckle. In my brain, she was like a lecture. It makes me think of the obvious.
“How come you didn’t give me your name?”
Because I don’t have a name,
“Would you want me to give you a name?”
As soon as we meet our soulmate, we’ll have a name. Only our mate knows what we’re called. He is the only one who knows our name, just as his wolf does not know his. He’s waiting for us to give him a name for his wolf. This belongs © NôvelDra/ma.Org.
“What if his wolf has a name already?”
I’m uncertain. I’ll have to look into that. Let’s go.
Everyone was dressed to the nines when I arrived at the castle. When I finished packing my vehicle, I began making my way towards the castle’s entrance. I could feel my rack and ruin becoming closer with each stride I made. I’m not sure what it is, but there’s a cool breeze blowing on my face. You know how you get the sensation that something huge is going to happen, but you’re not sure what it is? That’s precisely how I’m feeling at the moment.
“Is that you, Juno?” I heard a voice that could only come from one person. Cynthia was the only wolf that didn’t mind that I was human. My closest acquaintance is the lone wolf. I was far away in the human world, yet I and this one would constantly video talk, although we hadn’t seen one other in decades. In a frenzy, she dashed towards the main. I’m curious about what’s going on in her thoughts right now.
“Ooooh, look at that butt,” she remarked as she hugged me. “anyway, how are you and welcome back?” It perplexed me how individuals could go from being filthy to being courteous. I returned her hug with a grin. Which she returned to, her tongue protruding.
“Have you heard the most recent?” She hushed and looked around. Our alpha found his mate the day before, but he instructed his beta and Gemma not to say anything.
“How did you find out about it?” She cracks a grin.
“You know who I am; I happen to know some individuals who know someone higher up.” I burst out laughing. If something were to happen, she would undoubtedly be among the first persons in the pack to learn about it. Because of the help of my ninja here, I’ve been able to learn all there is to know about the pack. I’m curious about how she does it.
“Let’s go, Cynthia, let’s go inside.” She gazed at me, her face furrowed in perplexity.
“You returned yesterday. Yesterday, the alpha found his mate. Are you certain it’s not you? No way, it’s not you. She was supposed to be a wolf. “Wait a minute, you smell like a wolf.” She just stood there, staring at me. She rubbed her chin with her index finger, removing the makeup and powder she had applied before coming here. “You smell like a wolf, Juno, which shows you’re not human.” “I know you told me, but are you certain you’re not his mate?”
“Okay, I saw a grey wolf with golden eyes outside my window last night, but that was all I saw, and I have no idea who the wolf was. Let’s go inside.” We stepped inside after I let out a long breath. I could sense my impending fate. I wanted to turn around and flee home, but I knew my mother would bring me back here. My heels began to feel heavy. The clicking of my heels became a source of irritation for me. Cynthia recognized my apprehension. She clenched her hand on the doorknob, and we both heard a huge growl that rocked the castle, followed by the words
“MINE!”
Here goes nothing.
His eyes were the same as they had been the day before. He’s creeping towards me, one booming step after another as he ascends the stairs with a female next to him, his eyes enthralled and obsessed on my face. His strength is infectious, in my opinion. Everyone else seems to cower, but I can feel myself squaring my shoulders. I could feel my hands clenching into fists. As he got closer, my jaw constricted. I wanted to spin on my heels and go, but Cynthia gripped my hand tightly and muttered,
“If I let you go, I’ll be a rotting corpse.” Please forgive me.”
I began to sweat as he moved closer and closer to me without pausing. I felt myself gradually retracing my steps. Cynthia’s grasp on my hands was released. I backed up gently till my body touched the wall. He grinned at me as if I were prey to kill. He upped his speed. He appeared to sense my desire to flee. He doesn’t stop until we’re barely a few inches apart. He’s so near that I can smell the mud and mint. My cheeks are flushed with heat. This is unbearable to me. I lunge for the doorknob, open it, and rush away. I could hear his voice mumbling,
“I like the chase, little mate.”
I didn’t go too far since his warrior blocked my path. For as long as I can remember, Alex has been frigid and nasty. His scent was sending a lot of emotions my way, and it was tough to keep up with them as he neared me. My heart is pounding in my chest. I was overcome with the want to run again. Even if I ran, there would be nowhere for me to go. His troops are strewn over the fortress. He took a firm stance in front of me. We stood there staring at one other, no one glitching, the tension in the air, my hands sweaty as we stared at each other. He glanced at me as if he was trying to remember my characteristics, the coordinates of every blemish, and the number of eyelashes I had. I can only gaze back. He carried me in a bridal style. He brought me back to the ball, mumbling mine with each step. I felt really humiliated. He walked me to his chamber and sat me on the sofa.
“How do I address you?”
“Juno,” I stated
“Now, pay attention, and pay attention very attentively. You are mine to touch and do anything I want with. You’ll be there for me whenever I need you. That is your responsibility as my mate and the luna of this pack.”
I fixed my gaze on him. That doesn’t seem appealing to me. I was just about to say anything when he captured my lips in a possessive manner. Sparks burst all over my body, and I clenched my fists around him. He interrupted the kiss as he probed my mouth.
“How come you didn’t come to me last night?” As I looked at him, my eyes sprung wide.
“How come you didn’t come to me when you saw me?”
I’m having trouble thinking straight because of this darn mate pull. I can hardly stand up straight. To keep fluid from flowing from my sex, I had to cross my legs. I was in shambles. He grinned as he stared at me. He knew I couldn’t stand up to him. He knew that my body desired him. I could feel his body craving me as well. His rod is hammering on his jeans.
What is going on with me? Why do I want him? Leave us now! He gave the order. I saw the troops departing. It’s just me and him now.
Looking at me with lusty eyes.
