Serpent Sarcophagus

Chapter 8 Doesn’t Have His Snake Body Anymore

Chapter 8 Doesn’t Have His Snake Body Anymore

I didn’t know that the reason behind moving the grave would be so cruel. I looked at Stowy puzzledly.

Stowy looked down and didn’t deny it. This meant that it was true.

“We the Quebec family know what your lordship is after. It’s been so many years. I’m the last Quebec

standing. Everyone else in my family has died. We don’t owe your lordship anything anymore,” said

Mrs. Quebec emotionally. She started coughing so badly that she had trouble breathing. She left after

saying that.

Stowy sighed. He then looked up and stared at me. He couldn’t suppress the emotions flickering in his

dark eyes, which seemed to have been veiled at the same time.

“Why did you stop moving the grave after I was born? Was it because my dad killed that snake, or

because the Serpent Sarcophagus got hit by lightning?” I stared back at Stowy.

“You need to ask your family about this.” Stowy sighed and disappeared.

I looked at the Black Mamba Bracelet on my wrist. My heart became heavy.

I continued to check out the notes of spirit channeling. Some stuff was written down sloppily, some in

detail. It depended on Mrs. Quebec’s mood at that time.

I couldn’t take it anymore after reading for a while. I messaged Pearl and asked about her father. She

replied saying that it was snake poison, and he was still unconscious.

Her replies were cold, but she was probably not in a good mood. It wasn’t the right time for me to ask

much so I tried to comfort her a bit, promising that I’d ask my parents to go visit them after I was done

with my business here.

I sent the message, but Pearl didn’t reply to me this time. I felt anxious. I wonder how David was doing.

I wonder if Dominik managed to drive back safely.

Mrs. Quebec washed her bedsheets with starch. It was stiff and smelled weird.

I tossed and turned in bed and couldn’t fall asleep. I tried to call my parents, but the call still didn’t get

through.

Then, I chose to call Aunt Luth to ask about the situation.

Suddenly, light shone through the window, and I could hear the sound of a car engine from outside.

The car stopped in front of Mrs. Quebec’s house.

Mrs. Quebec who was in the room next to mine stood up and opened the door. I quickly stood up as

well.

As I was walking towards the entrance, Stowy suddenly said, “Don’t go, it’s that snake.”

Someone knocked on the door violently and was yelling about something.

I knew that Mrs. Quebec was by the entrance and hence I ran up to her, “Don’t open the door.”

Mrs. Quebec gave me an odd look, but she withdrew her hand that was about to open the door. She

walked towards the window and looked outside.

Dominik’s car was parked outside. Several people were standing in front of the car.

David, Dominik, Fletcher and his wife.

I couldn’t believe that Fletcher and his family were enchanted by the snake. I was surprised, but I

quickly grabbed the bracelet on my wrist and asked Stowy who was in there, “Can you get them out of

the spell?”

A snake wrapped around Fletcher’s neck. Its head slightly tilted as it flicked its tongue out.

Stowy didn’t reply. Mrs. Quebec on the other hand glanced at the Black Mamba Bracelet on my wrist,

“Do you really think that Lord Dracula can do anything? He’s in this state in the first place because

of…” This content belongs to Nô/velDra/ma.Org .

Before she could finish her sentence, the Black Mamba Bracelet on my hand jerked. The snakehead

pointed towards Mrs. Quebec. She swallowed the words she was about to say and glared at me in

disdain, “Everyone in the Dragon family is utterly devoid of conscience!”

What she said was a little bit too much. I was about to say something, but then David walked up to us.

He said in a scratchy voice, “Aurora, come out, or else I’ll kill them. You cannot run away. You are

mine.”

His voice was cold and eerie, like a real snake.

I shivered just by hearing his voice. David snickered after talking.

Dominik and Fletcher were also under a spell. They reached out their hands and pushed Fletcher’s

wife against the front of the car.

I didn’t understand what was going on. Mrs. Quebec cursed under her breathe, “Goddamn! Evildoers!”

“Hold them off a bit, I’ll go get something,” said Mrs. Quebec as she rushed into her room.

I listened to her, turned around, and walked towards David. The snake that was around his neck was

on his mother’s leg now. It was crawling into the trousers through one of the legs.

The scene before my eyes reminded me of how David’s wife died. Something broke out my mind.

I quickly opened the door and rushed towards them, “I’m here!”

Stowy sounded like he sighed again. But this time, he didn’t stop me.

“Aurora…” David turned his head around and laughed bizarrely at me.

The snake on his neck held its head up. Its eyes stared at the bracelet on my wrist. “Stowy, you’ve lost

your body, and yet you still want to protect her?”

“You’ve been hiding in her dreams for 18 years, and you still try to keep her safe?” What came out of

the snake’s mouth was a human voice.

“Don’t move, wait for Mrs. Quebec.” Stowy ignored the snake.

He whispered, “Once Mrs. Quebec gets that item, throw the bracelet at David and I will handle the

snake.”

Stowy had a plan in mind. I watched David and the snake quietly.

Something rustled around the house. Something wasn’t right.

When we looked out of the window, David was standing in front of the car. So, who was the one that

knocked on the door?

I quickly looked back and noticed that a King cobra was under the eaves hanging upside down. It was

slithering down to the ground.

I turned around. The King Cobra opened its mouth and hissed. It arched its body and leaped at me.

Luckily when it was about to attack me, a strong gush of water hit it and blew it away.

I quickly took several steps backward and went close the door. But when I reached out my hand, I

touched something cold. My heart clenched.

Without looking, I swung my hand away. A snake as wide as an opening of a cup got thrown onto the

car.

“Mrs. Quebec! Mrs. Quebec!” I didn’t even dare to close the door and ran into the house.

In Mrs. Quebec’s room, a python was entwining itself tightly around her. She had lost consciousness.

Stowy grunted and the python was frightened. It quickly ran out of the window.

I hurried to Mrs. Quebec. Her lips were black and her eyes bloodshot.

“Here.” Stowy came out from the bracelet and grabbed the silver-ringed snake from Mrs. Quebec’s

sleeves.

Stowy crushed the snake and it died.

By the window, one thing slithered out after another. Two snakes struggled to sneak out of the blanket,

but they died after briefly exposing themselves.

Stowy, who was standing next to me, wobbled. He then returned to the Black Mamba Bracelet.

It took me a while to finally realize that he was the guy who was killing all the snakes in the house. I

quickly checked on Mrs. Quebec and saw two dark holes on her wrist.

Immediately I grabbed a rope from the side and tied her arm to stop the poison in her body from

spreading. I then took out my phone and wanted to make a call.

A hissing sound came from outside, “Aurora.”

David was already at the door entrance. The snake on his neck stared at me and laughed, “You are

mine. Find the Serpent Sarcophagus and marry me. Otherwise, they will all die! Die!”

I looked at the snake and hatred started brewing in my heart. I took out the bracelet on my wrist and

threw it at the snake.

The Black Mamba Bracelet landed on David and became alive. It climbed onto his neck and drew a

circle around him.

The snake who had its head held up high were divided into two pieces. Its head fell onto the ground,

which was still trying to crawl towards me.

It hissed and flickered its tongue, “This is just a snake I possessed. So what if you killed it? One day,

Aurora will be sleeping in the Serpent Sarcophagus with me. Aurora… Aurora…”

I breathed heavily as I grabbed the huge hammer behind the door and smashed the snakehead so

hard.

The hammer was quite large. I swung it against the ground and the cemented floor cracked.

I just wanted to swing it again, but I didn’t have any strength left. I couldn’t pick it up anymore.

David fell to the ground. The Black Mamba Bracelet teleported back to my wrist.

Stowy said in a low voice as he gasped for air, “It’s all up to you now.”

He looked like he was restrained by something. He then went quiet.

I looked at the snake’s head that got smashed by the hammer. I quickly took out my phone and called

the ambulance, saying that someone got bitten by a silver-ringed snake and needed a serum

immediately.

Then, I picked up the rice measuring cup that Mrs. Quebec left on the floor and was about to leave the

room. Mrs. Quebec was probably bitten by the snake when she was fetching some rice from the rice

bucket. She then got constrained by the python and that was why she couldn’t yell for help.

I remembered the three others who were still outside the house. I glanced at the rice bucket and

grabbed it.

The rice bucket was half-full. I poured them all over David’s neck.

The snake poked its tail into David’s neck. Once I poured the rice on it, it got shocked and slowly

slithered out of David’s neck.

According to the notes of spirit channeling, rice tended to eliminate evil things.

Rice was a key item to sustain life. Even until today, when a baby got back from the hospital, the elders

would usually grab some rice and put them into the baby’s pocket to ward off evil spirits.

I carried another rice bucket outside. Dominik and Fletcher were still pushing Fletcher’s wife's head

against the hood of the car. I couldn’t do anything else but grabbed a bunch of rice from the bucket and

threw it at them.

When the rice touched them, they seemed to have gotten an electric shock and started trembling. They

then fell onto the ground spitting white foam from their mouth.

Fletcher’s wife was slipping off the car hood. She was also twitching.

This was normal when warding off evil spirits inside the body. They would be fine once they drank a hot

bowl of ginger tea.

I wanted to pull Fletcher’s wife into the house first in case she got hurt again.

But the moment I touched her, she laughed eerily. She then stood up straight and breathed on me.

Her breath smelled bloody, but at the same time fragrant.

I was caught by surprise and felt rage boiling inside of me. I held the rice bucket up and poured the

remaining rice all over her.

But even when showered with rice, she was still laughing arrogantly, “Haha, Aurora. This is the Snake’s

Lust Poison. The only antidote is supposed to be entangled with a snake. Hee, but Lord Dracula

doesn’t have his snake body anymore. You can’t save her. You can’t!”
