STEPBROTHER (R-18)

Chapter 2

Chapter 2

Scarletts P.O.V

The next day you and your friend Briana are helping your mom and Kirk move boxes into your house.

Your relieved that Oliver is nowhere to be seen, but also annoyed that you're given the job of moving

his boxes into his room. You turn to Briana, and grumble angrily under your breath.

"As much as i love the absence of his company... why the fuck is it my job to move his shit?"

Briana snickers, clutching a few pillows, as you make your way up the stairs to your old room which for

the past two years has been an office/storage space for your mom to throw old junk.

"Well, if I've learned anything from my brothers, its that boys are lazy."

"Your telling me" i say back in a slightly angry tone.

As you near the top of he stairs, you hear your mom call you from below.

"No, Scar, his stuff needs to go in the bedroom down in the basement!"

You halt and whip around. Anger fills you.

She's giving him MY bedroom! What the hell!...

"Wait! He's getting my room?" I say both angrily and confused.

Your mother laughs and shakes her head. Content is property © NôvelDrama.Org.

"No, we are turning the guest bedroom into his bedroom."

You've got to be fucking kidding me... his bedroom is going to be directly next to mine? What have i

done to deserve this?

You ignore the excitement stirring unwanted in your gut and groan. Gesturing to Briana with a nod of

your head, you both begin to descend the stairs.

"Why isn't he getting my old bedroom?' I question mom as i walk down the stairs.

"Well, Kirk thought it would be a good idea if I turned that room into my art room. It gets the most light.

The basement isn't exactly ideal for paining scenery.

"Mom, please don't make me room next to him' i say pleadingly

"Scar, don't whine. You're eighteen. You're practically an adult. All that stands in your way is a few more

weeks of school. Its not like you really have to see a ton of him. I just want you to try and get along for

Kirk and my sake"

"Fine. I can do that"

Who knows? Maybe it'll be easier than i think.

As you reach the guest bedroom in the basement, passing by your bedroom door along the way, you

huff out a breath, and dump his boxes to the floor. Briana scoffs, a grin on her face as she tosses the

pillows uncoordinatedly to the bed where they bounce and tumble to the floor.

"Well, I can tell how much you like him" Briana says while giggling,

"Oh yeah... so fucking much." I answer sarcastically.

Unaware that Olivier is listening in; you clench you jaw when you hear his voice.

"Feelings mutual, Scar."

"Don't fucking call me that."

Oliver grins. You can tell he loves that he's gotten to you. He blatantly moves his eyes to Briana and

bites his lip. Stepping forward into the room, he moves over towards her and offers her his hand.

'I don't believe we've met. Oh, no. I'm sure we haven't, because i know I would've remember"

You scoff, unimpressed with his mediocre attempt at flirting.

Wow... talk about cocky. He just loves getting me pissed off. Attention whore.

"Uh...yeah, I'm Scarlett's best friend, Bri,"

Briana shakes his hand, awkwardly chuckling. You watch as she blushes.

Ew. Please god, don't fall for this shit. He always wants to play games.

"Since you're here now, Ollie, how about you carry your own shit..."

Oliver frowns when you use the condescending nickname You stifle a grin, biting your lip, Oliver

crosses his arms over his chest and cocks his head sideways.

"Hm... I'm having too much fun watching you carry it."

You glance at the pillows on the floor beside your feet.

I should fucking throw that at him.

You swipe the pillow off the floor, and twist back to face him. His eyes shift to the pillow in your hand

and he quirks a brow, realising what you're going to do. He challenges you with that look of arrogance,

and you return his gaze with a sardonic look of your own.

"Well...I'm not going to be your fucking serve to" I say angrily as i toss the pillow at his face.

He catches it mid-air and wiggles it teasingly in your face,

"Is that really all you've got? Briana... maybe you can show your friend how its done."

"Sorry, but she's not going to humour you. She has higher fucking standards than that." I snap back

before Briana has chance to respond to him.

You move quickly towards the door, side stepping him, before you glance back at your friend Briana.

"Let's go Briana. We will leave Oliver to the only person who enjoys his company... his fucking self."

You and Briana leave Oliver's room. You ignore the sinking annoyance that gnaws at your gutsy when

you think about how he came onto Briana.

Its not like I have a reason to be jealous... he's an ass. So, what if he's into Briana? Save me the

trouble of having to deal with his arrogance. Then again, it probably isn't a good idea.

"Talk about being blunt..."

"He's a player. Just here too toy with you. He doesn't actually care about anyone but himself"

Briana places her hands on her hips, stopping at the top of the basement steps.

"Scar, don't you think you're being a little judgemental? I mean, you've know the guy for like two days"

"As much as i love you Bri, you're not one to chose winners"

"Ouch. All I'm saying is maybe you need to get to know him. And if you don't care to, then i will"

Briana nudges you playfully and wiggles her brows. You roll your eyes and leave the conversation at

that.

Maybe she's right.
