The Alpha Vampire

Chapter 230 Determination To Win

Between the snapping of teeth that fills the air, you can hear a single pin drop as the Misfits have come to face with the group of Were-Vamps nearly twice the size of themselves, both in numbers and in size.

The concern on Dean’s face is a sentiment that is shared across the room as Cassidy, along with Cas and Roberto, make their way through the door that has been busted down.

From where we are standing with a fair eye on both sides of us, there seems that no more Were-Vamps are making their way into the store, but that is one thing that does not comfort us. The group coming in from the back door seems to be more ominous than the front as they have taken their Werewolf form.

Werewolves on the right…

Vampires on the left…

In the middle, a group of men determined to fight their way out of this.

So with the Vampires being trapped between our group and the group of Cassidy, we can claim one small Victory again. But should we turn our back on either one of these, then we will face almost a certain death.

But just as I am about to question the whereabouts of Sam, I see him coming through the door in a battle with a Werewolf himself.

I look at Dean and only but shake my head, “Why is the man coming through the back door?”

“Because he has a death wish, but at least it tells us that there are not any more of them coming from this side.”

And with one man standing at protection from the back, Dean and I turn our back on Cassidy and them with the confidence that they will hold off the Vampires until we can make our way through the group of Werewolves.

So in little steps of one-two, one-two, we move slowly forward with our weapons drawn, stabbing as many as we can head on. With each jab of the hand, there are guts and blood spilling over our hands, making an attempt to hold the blade firmly in place nearly impossible.

With one look of defeat on my face, I chuck the blade to the side and expose my own claw with razor-sharp nails.

Flick by flick.

With a wrist that twists in perfect precision…

I slice the neck and rip out the throat of each Werewolf that comes my way. I can feel as my nails sink into the flesh and glide through skin and muscle with ease, grabbing a firm hold on a big chunk of meat and ripping their throats to shreds.

Each forceful tear at a Werewolf’s neck leaves me with great satisfaction. I am reeling in the strength that has taken over every fiber of my body. I have never felt anything quite as exhilarating as this before. My body is undergoing a transformation that is not only scary but also gives me a great sense of power. I will, by all honesty, say that I am enjoying every minute of being near unstoppable.

As each Werewolf slams its bloody body into mine, it makes little effort of dropping me to the floor.

And just as I say this, there is a Vampire that tries to sneak its way up from behind me. In one mere extension of my right hand, I clamp my claw around his neck. As I slowly raise him inches and inches up into the air, with the shocked expression on Cassidy’s face, I only flick my wrist and snap his neck.

As he drops into a heap on the floor, there is a Werewolf that launches himself past me in an effort to make a break for the front door. So reaching behind my back, I grip the Colt firmly in my palm. In a wink of a breath, I touch the trigger that ignites the spark that sets the bullet into the chamber. As I feel it move at a speed, the warmth sends tingles up my arm, and in a loud snap, it travels through the air and pierces into the back of the Werewolf, penetrating his heart and sending him crashing into the floor.

With one wink at Cassidy, she only but bites into her bottom lip…

Oh, that just earned her one uncomfortable arousal, which…

Well, I see Dean look at me, “Can you concentrate for one second?”

I only but chuckle at him and launch another shot over his head. As he spins on his heel, there is a Were-Vamp that drops to his feet.

“Can you concentrate on what is happening in front of you and leave the back for me?”

He only grunts at me as he extends his right hand and aims for a Were-Vamp that is crushing a way forward in the direction of Jacob.

And it is with each snapping bullet that we take out the rest of the group that manages to get their way past Sam that has now shut the back door firmly closed behind him.

Then…

Turning to the other side facing Cassidy and Cas, I watch as Cas drops the last of the Were-Vamps to the floor as he brings a bright light to form from his hands. Cassidy only stands and stares him down, “Why did you not do that before?” She asks as she folds her hands in front of her chest, pointing to the very obvious blood smeared all over her, and need I say, even her cleavage.

But I take my eyes from there as soon as Dean sees me losing focus. He only but smiles as he looks around the room, “Do you think that it was all of them?”

“Well, I would say that we got a good twenty or so of them.” And as I take a glance over at the storeroom, I slowly turn to make my way over to the door, and as I am about to step in, there is a Were-Vamp that comes strolling from the darkness with teeth dripping with blood. “It seems that we have interrupted his meal.”

So I take only one step back and show for the rest of the group to get behind me. As the Were-Vamp steps out of the storeroom, I hear as Cassidy gasps, “Lucas, he is too big.”

I only but laugh, “My beloved, have you never heard that size matters.”

And with that, I plant my feet firm on the ground, but it is futile as there is too much blood spilled over it. Not being the least concerned, I show for the Were-Vamp to take his best shot. With a speed so angry, he sets towards me with great force. As I extend my right arm, it makes a direct impact, sending him flying back into the very room where he has just made his appearance from.

Much to the horror of Dean and the rest, I slowly make my way inside. There is a growl and an ear-shattering sound of pain that travels through the air as I fling his body from his feet to outside of the room. Making my way over to him again, I lift him by the leg and let him dangle from the floor. With teeth snapping at my legs, I swing him high up in the air.

As he reaches the height as far as my hand can lift in the air, I grab him by the throat, and with only one snap of my finger, do I pierce deep into his skin. But wait…

I slip a dagger that I had tucked away close to the Colt, and with one smooth sweep of the hand, I drop his head to the floor.

And as it rolls, it ends upright on top of Cassidy’s stilettos. I get a wicked little smile upon my face and look her in those beautiful eyes, “Told you that you should perhaps not wear stilettos when we come on a hunt.”

With that, I drop the body, and Dean does a quick scan in the storeroom. Once we are satisfied, we make our way outside of the store and watch as Cas sets it on fire.

Taking my beloved’s hand, I make sure that she has not been injured. Once I have established that the woman is still intact, we make our way back to the car in a mood that is less far concerned than what it was when we first made our way here.

But that is only short-lived, for as we get to where we have parked, Dean turns to us, “Do you want to go rest for a few hours, or can we move forward and find the Bloodlusters?”

As I look over at the group, they seem fairly still awake; this is not how I thought the battle against the Were-Vamps was going to be. Are we missing something?Exclusive content © by Nô(v)el/Dr/ama.Org.

Have we killed all the Were-Vamps?

Or was it perhaps just my overeager hand?

Whatever it is, something does not sit right here.
