The Babysitter

Chapter 37: Donkey Kong

Chapter 37: Donkey Kong

Chapter 37: (Xavier's POV)- Donkey Kong

I woke up to see her still sleeping peacefully next to me. Last night was... well, last night. I know she

was talking about me, I know it but I also know she was drunk, which meant whatever she told me last

night, pouring her heart out in a way, wasn't supposed to be told.

She was right, drunk minds speak sober thoughts, but those sober thoughts are just thoughts, and that

too for a reason. They're meant for you, your mind, and your heart to know, nobody else. And then you

get drunk and the alcohol really does just fuck you up. I'm falling in love with her and I know it very well,

but I'm not losing this game, I promise you.

I looked down at her with a smile playing at my lips while I ran my fingers through her hair. She stirred

before ever so slightly smiling in her sleep, so softly and slightly that I thought I had imagined it but then

she let out a small laugh before hiding her face in the crook of my neck.

"What the hell..." she mumbled against my skin before shooting up, pulling herself away. "Why am I in

here?" She scratched her head while looking around in confusion, squinting at the sunlight. "My head

hurts," she cried before collapsing back onto the bed, face-first onto the pillow. "I shouldn't have had

this much last night. God! This is your fault! You shouldn't have challenged me to drink more, Parker!"

she groaned into the pillow.

"Oh, this is my fault now? Great," I laughed before poking her side, tickling her, making her scream

before sit up and glare at me. Exclusive © content by N(ô)ve/l/Drama.Org.

"Don't fuck with me right now, Xavier." she glared.

"Remember when I said that, love? Did you listen?" I poked her again, she smacked my hand away,

hard. "Hostility, ouch!" I annoyed her even more. Her reactions keep me running, I swear. I kept poking

her, aggravating her more and more until she let out a groan and climbed on top of me, straddling me

and pinning my hands on either side of my head, against the headboard.

"Don't. Fuck. With. Me. Right. Now. Parker." She spoke intensely while her forehead touched mine.

"Do you remember what you said last night, love? Not so aggressive then." I smirked, provoking her

even more.

"What did I say last night?" Her face grew pale as she probably recalled the whole incident with Peter.

"I still can't believe he did that. Thank you." She suddenly wrapped her arms around my neck, hugging

me tightly. "I never thanked you," she said as she slowly pulled away, her lips an inch away from mine.

I stared straight into her eyes before my eyes trailed down to her lips. I watched as her eyes followed

mine and trailed down to my lips.

"Aubrey, if you don't get off of me, I'll kiss the fuck out of you." I meant those words when I said them.

She hesitated before pulling her arms away from me and slowly getting off, sitting beside me with a

sigh. She folded her arms across her chest before turning to face me. Feeling her gaze on me, I turned

to look at her too. "Maybe I shouldn't have gotten off of you." She shrugged.

My eyes widened at her words. "You're more than welcome to get back on," I smirked.

"Why would I give you what you want, love?" she smirked before getting out of bed and grabbing an

Advil from my nightstand, and heading downstairs, probably for some water.

I laughed and shook my head before getting out of bed and heading downstairs. She finished taking

the pill until the house phone rang. She went to answer it since she was closer to it.

"Hello? Catherine, hi!" I walked over and put it on the speaker. "Sorry it was a long night, Ace and

Violet dropped by actually and we just hung around," Aubrey explained, lying of course but being

honest would get me killed so, thanks to her for that.

"Okay, well I've called to give you some good news, or bad I don't know. I'm going to stay here for

another two weeks." my mom spoke.

"Another two what?" Aubrey asked shocked. "That's uh- a long time," she spoke in shock.

"Your mother and father are joining Robert and me. Your dad's near the town," she said sounding

cheery.

"So I have to stay here?" Aubrey asked while glancing at me as I smirked.

"Your mom's gonna drop by today to hand your stuff to you and then she'll be off, I wasn't sure how

you'd handle the news so I'm not sure if it's good news or bad news..." my mom trailed.

"Oh mom, I'm sure she's handling it well," I spoke up. Aubrey rolled her eyes before walking away,

leaving me to talk with my mom.

"Are you bothering her, honey? Aubrey sweetheart, is he bothering you?" she asked. I scoffed while

Aubrey replied.

"Catherine, I cannot even begin to tell you how much he truly..." she paused for effect. "Doesn't bother

me at all, in fact, he's great company." she pinched my cheek before walking off and grabbing an

orange. Her breakfast I take it.

"Good. Have fun!" my mom cheered us before saying bye and hanging up.

"Great company huh?" I smirked as I snatched her orange and took a piece.

"That's my orange thank you very much." she snatched it back before finishing peeling it and eating a

piece.

"Recovered from the hangover yet?" I asked while trapping her between me and the counter, our

bodies extremely close.

She groaned before rolling her eyes, "Take a cold shower, Parker." she pushed me away before

finishing her orange and heading up to the bathroom with a fresh set of clothes that she stopped in her

room to take.

"Damn," I whispered to myself before following her up and going into her room, chilling on the bed until

she walked out. I noticed how she had left her clothes which was a black sundress out on the bed,

meaning she'd be walking out in a towel soon enough.

I waited for a few minutes until she came out with towel-dried hair and her body covered by a towel.

She walked out, saw me, and stumbled back, crashing into the bathroom door, and let me tell you, her

towel would have slipped if she wasn't grabbing onto it for dear life.

"What the hell are you doing here? I know you're not very fond of privacy but I would appreciate it in my

room." she groaned before walking over to me so she could take the dress but before she could, I

stood up and got in her way.

"Your room? It's just a room in my house that you're staying in," I shrugged nonchalantly.

"Exactly, that I'm staying in," she spoke through gritted teeth while trying to reach around me to grab

the dress but I kept getting in her way.

"In my house." I raised my eyebrows at her.

"I didn't ask to be here, or to be your babysitter." she gave me a pointed look before huffing in

frustration at failing to get the dress.

"You're mine?" I asked, hoping she'd blurt out a yes not actually getting my question.

"Yes, I'm yours." she gave me a bored expression. "Funny." she smiled sarcastically before trying to

reach out for the dress again.

"Geez, chill." I laughed before handing the dress over to her. She took it before sashaying into the

bathroom. I still waited there and heard her hiss and groan.

"Stupid zipper," she mumbled before letting out a frustrated scream.

Someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed, or well, actually she just woke up on me.

The door swung open and she saw me still standing there, surprised yet again. "I thought you would

have left." she stood in the mirror in front of me, trying to see the zipper and pull it shut.

"Need a little help there?" I chuckled.

She glared at me before begrudgingly turning her back towards me. I walked up behind her, a lot closer

than necessary, and pushed her hair to the side, my fingers brushing against her shoulder blade.

I noticed how goosebumps took over her skin as my fingers brushed her back while I closed the zipper

for her.

"All done," I whispered in her ear. "I'll win, love. And you know it." I whispered as she turned to face me.

Her eyes glimmered with amusement.

"It's on like donkey kong." she smiled.
