The Billionaire Who Stole My Heart

Chapter 1227

Most men can't stomach the bloody scene of a birthing room.

The fear is that it might sour the relationship, a risk they're not willing to take.

But Isaac was adamant, "Let me in."

The doctor tried to dissuade him, but Isaac wouldn't hear it. All he could think about was Brittany going into labor, his heart aching with anticipation.

When Noel and the gang arrived and saw how frantic Isaac was, they convinced the doctor to let him in.

After all, his brother was out there, worried sick.

In the delivery room.

Brittany had changed into the hospital gown, lying on the bed, while the midwife was preparing for the delivery. Seeing Isaac entering, she frowned, "Mr. Salter, how did you get in here?" "To be with her."

Isaac, seeing Brittany's pale face twisted in pain, felt his heart clench. He moved to approach her.

"Stay back."

Brittany immediately said, "Just stay there!"

"But Bri-"

"If you come any closer, I...I won't be able to keep it together," Brittany struggled to say. "Just seeing you makes me want to cry. Stay back."

Isaac, desperate and anxious, grabbed the doctor, "Can't you give her an epidural?"

Why hasn't it been done yet?

The doctor, trembling, replied, "Right away!"

The epidural had to be administered before labor intensified, and they were already preparing it.

Isaac let go of the doctor, "Hurry!"

Each minute Brittany was in pain felt like an eternity to him.

After the anesthesiologist administered the epidural, Brittany's whimpers filled the room.

The pain eased significantly, and Isaac finally could get closer. He walked to the bedside, holding Brittany's hand, whispering comforting words.

The labor went on for over an hour, and thanks to the epidural, Brittany wasn't in too much pain, feeling only waves of pressure in her lower abdomen. Isaac was in a daze, his entire focus on Brittany. He gripped her hand tightly, his dark eyes locked on her, "Just a little longer."C0ntent © 2024 (N/ô)velDrama.Org.

And then, a cry broke through the darkness.

"It's a girl."

"Mr. Salter, Mrs. Salter, congratulations."

The midwife brought the baby to Brittany, "Here she is, six pounds and two ounces, perfectly healthy."

Brittany, drenched in sweat, her

throat feeling like it was coated in glue, looked at the baby in the midwife's arms. The piece of her heart that had been missing was now complete. en

She turned to Isaac, "Zakky, our baby!"

Isaac, seeing the little girl in swaddles, felt his heart stir. He leaned in, kissing Brittany, "Yes, our baby."

After the ordeal, Brittany was completely exhausted.

Seeing their child, she drifted into a deep sleep.

Isaac accompanied her out of the delivery room, where Yuri and the others were waiting, "How is everything?"

"Congratulations, all went well, a beautiful daughter."

Yuri exclaimed, "Fantastic, the little gold locket I got will come in handy!"

Daniel, gazing intently at the baby in the doctor's arms, stepped forward, "Can I see my sister?"

The doctor nodded, "Of course."

Though newborns generally look quite similar, Daniel thought his sister was exceptionally beautiful, soft and pink, her lips moving slightly.

Daniel reached out, gently touching her face, feeling the warmth.

"Grandpa, she's so pretty!"

Yuri carefully took the baby, "Yes."

"How's my daughter doing?"

When Brittany woke up, seeing the baby in the crib, she gestured for Isaac to come closer.

"Zakky."

Isaac, having gone through the ordeal of childbirth alongside Brittany, felt both heartbroken and guilty, "What is it?" "Does it hurt?"

"No pain," Brittany said, feeling no discomfort, only joy. "Is the baby okay?"

"Tabitha is perfect."
