The Billionaire's Regret

Chapter 226

Chapter 226

“What the hell—what are you doing here?” Ivy’s loud voice roared into the hallway as soon as she opened her unit door. Who wouldn’t? She was not expecting anyone else, yet she saw Wyatt standing in front of her doorstep, holding flowers and smiling brightly at her! “Ivy…” Ivy pinched the bridge of her nose as if she was trying to calm herself, particularly her heart. “What are you doing here? And what’s with those flowers?” Hearing this, Wyatt suddenly realized that he needed to give the bouquet to Ivy. “For you. Good morning.” Ivy crossed her arms in front of her chest, ignoring his offer. “What is good in the morning when you’re here… pestering me?” Wyatt hemmed. Her words hurt a bit in his heart. But he can endure anything. “Ivy, please, give me one more chance—” “I’m not in the mood—” “Please…” Ivy’s eyes widened when Wyatt knelt in front of her. She looked around, afraid that someone might see them and it would come out of the internet. “What are you doing? Stand up, Wyatt!” she pulled him up. “Ivy…” “Fine. Fine. Just don’t make a scene here. Gosh. I left the country for peace of mind but you followed me!” Wyatt wanted to show how happy he was, but he remained calm. Damn, he didn’t know the word thrilling not until today. “Uhm, I guess you’re about to go out—” “Yes. I want to have my coffee, enjoy the day… but you appeared!” Wyatt pressed his lips together, restraining himself not to smile. Ivy is so beautiful when her face turns red—when she’s blushing at the same time, angry. Property of Nô)(velDr(a)ma.Org.

“Flowers?” Ivy rolled her eyes and grabbed the flowers. She put it down on the table near the door and stepped out. “Move.” Wyatt then moves backwards to give space. Ivy then locked the door and turned to face Wyatt. “Now, I need a coffee—” “Right away, Ma’am,” Wyatt interrupted cheerfully, making Ivy arch her left brow. “Happy?” Wyatt smiled widely. And damn, as Ivy saw Wyatt’s dimples again—yes, he has dimples! Her heart started to beat fast! “You don’t know how elated—” “Next time. Don’t bring me flowers!” she cut off the hum of his words and started to walk. Wyatt couldn’t help but form an illuminating smile. It seems like he won the lottery. Ivy finally let out a chance to talk to him. Ivy frowned when she couldn’t feel Wyatt’s presence at her back. She stopped and turned around. “Seriously? Are you planning to stay there all day?” At this moment, Wyatt got back to his senses and dashed forward, and walked with her. “Sorry. I was just—” “Oh, shut up, Wyatt.” Wyatt shook his head and didn’t bother to talk until they reached the parking lot. “Are you sure the media won’t get crazy, Wyatt? You know how I hate being on the internet. I had enough and am sick with it.” She just wanted to have a normal and simple life. “You can count on me,” Wyatt replied as he opened the passenger seat for her. Ivy didn’t say much and hopped in. Wyatt asked her where she wanted to have their breakfast but Ivy let him choose. Another doze of being thrilled added to him from that time. “I’m warning you, Wyatt. Not because I agree to talk to you—to spend this moment with you, means

to say that we’re totally okay.” Wyatt nodded. “I understand. Wait here—” “I can manage,” Ivy replied as she unhooked her seatbelt and got out of the car. Wyatt sighed. He can do this! “Good day, Sir and Ma’am. Table for—” the waiter stopped when he saw Wyatt. “This way, Sir,” he continued. Ivy wasn’t surprised by the waiter’s reaction. She thinks wherever Wyatt goes in Europe, they will know him. That’s how powerful he was. Soon as they reached their table, Ivy started to scan the menu book from the table, not minding Wyatt. “You can choose whatever you want. My treat.” Ivy frowned as she met his eyes. “Common sense, do you think I will come with you and treat you?” Of course, everything will be on his plate. Wyatt smiled. “You’re getting prettier when you’re like that.” Huh? Ivy just rolled her eyes when, suddenly, she thought of something. “Since when will you stay here?” “Until I have my dream,” he replied, making Ivy frown. “You have everything, Mr. Reed. Besides, aren’t you busy with your business? After this talk, maybe you should leave and stop pestering me.” Wyatt shook his head and put down the menu book. “I don’t have everything. There’s a piece that is missing.” Ivy put down her gaze and continued scanning the menus. She’s not that dumb not to know what he wants. “Ivy… forgive me—” “Let’s not think about the past, Wyatt. I don’t want any flashbacks.” They can start without reminiscing about what has happened.
