The Divorcee and Her Three Chaotic Children (Olivia Clarke and William)

Chapter 217

Chapter 217

“Is there anything special about it?” Olivia took the document and asked curiously.

The standard for membership in the International Council of Nonprofits was open and transparent. All text © NôvelD(r)a'ma.Org.

Anyone who met the standard could join.

Although Olivia was the chairwoman, it was not usually her concern unless there were special

requirements for meetings

or reviews.

“Take a look, and you’ll see.” Gideon kept her guessing.

Olivia flipped through the document and saw the applicant’s photo. She felt that this person looked a

little familiar.

Upon closer inspection, she could not help but be shocked.

“Ethan Pratt? A member of the Pratt family, the wealthiest immigrant family in Ethea?”

“Yes, it is.”

“Isn’t he pessimistic about us? Why would he want to join?

“Or was one of our members powerful enough to make the Pratt family change its mind?”

Looking at Ethan’s gorgeous face, Olivia couldn’t help sighing.

“I heard that Jodie Pratt, the only daughter of the Pratt family, will soon be returning to the country to

build a career. With the full support of her family, she’s also on the list of candidates to be a charity

amba ssador in Melbourne.”

“So she’s the reason the Pratt family is joining us, to support Jodie by investing in us?”

“That’s right. According to our investigation, Ethan is Jodie’s brother.”

“I heard that Jodie lived a poor life before the Pratt family found her a few years ago. So they love her

very much. To build up her image, they did a lot of charity work. In the last few years, she has won

many awards from different countries with the support of her family. I think being an amba ssador for

Melbourne is just part of her career.

Gideon carefully introduced the investigation results.

Olivia thought about it and was a little envious of Jodie.

Not only was she a wealthy woman, but she was also deeply loved by her family.

“Fair enough. The Pratt family is very powerful. Their joining will be very beneficial for the development

of our charity business. It’s good news!”

“But why does she, from such a wealthy, powerful family, choose to develop her career at home?”

“I looked into it too, but the information I got is not very accurate. All I knew was that it had to do with

the man she was gonna marry.”

“Wow, that sounds like a beautiful, romantic story!” Olivia was a bit gossipy and curious.

“Who would marry into such a rich and powerful family?” she thought with emotion.

Then she looked at Jodie’s information under Ethan. The woman in the photo was quite beautiful, with

a graceful bearing.

She looked more suited to be the charity amba ssador of Melbourgh than that mean, crazy woman

Gianna.

With that in mind, Olivia unconsciously flipped through the document.

When she saw the other applicant’s name, she couldn’t help but be stunned.

“Johnathan Kinsman? He also wants to join us?”

“Yes, and he meets the requirements. I’m afraid it won’t be easy to turn him down.”

After all, these applicants had been chosen by the board members. Even as chairwoman, it was not

appropriate for Olivia to reject them outright.

Otherwise, she would be suspected of bending the rules to serve her own interests.

“Why would I reject him? Since he wants to do charity, we should help him!”

Olivia was obviously a little excited.

Johnathan seemed to be quite wealthy. Since he wanted to contribute to the charity, she naturally

wouldn’t miss this opportunity to cheat him out of his money openly.

At that time, she would use the money he donated to build a few more primary schools for the children

in the mountains! Soon, they reached the building of the International Council of Nonprofits.

As soon as she got out of the car, Olivia was shocked by the scene in front of her.

The red carpet was laid out in front of the building. There were flowers along the way, and a fragrance

hung in the air. If she didn’t know this building, she would have thought that someone was getting

married here!

“Gideon, it seems that a big shot is coming to our office today! Let’s go up and have a look.”

“Okay, Miss Clarke.” Gideon was also surprised. Today, several judges of the Council were scheduled

to have a meeting and learn about the candidates in pa**ing.

He hadn’t been told that there would be a special arrangement.

Olivia walked into the elevator.

The elevator seemed to be decorated. Not only were all the buttons decorated with flowers but the floor

was covered with a red carpet.

She had no trouble finding the office because the red carpet led all the way to it.

However, as soon as she was about to enter the door, she was pulled by someone and almost fell.

Then, a sis sy man escorted a rich, noble young lady, followed by a group of bodyguards, into the

office.

“You’re blocking the way, bit ch. Can’t you see Miss Jodie is here? Get out of the way!”

“Miss Clarke, are you all right?” Gideon immediately came over to help Olivia up and asked nervously.

“I’m fine. Let the honored guest come in first,” Olivia said, looking at the group of people in front of her

with an indifferent

air.

Surrounded by her a**istant Tilden Bryan and the bodyguards, Jodie entered the room. She looked

around and finally sat down at the head of the long desk in the conference room.

As soon as she sat down, the face of Professor Clinton, who had been reading the documents, went

dark.

“Who are you? This is the conference room of the International Council of Nonprofits. We’re having an

important selection here today. Please leave as soon as possible and don’t cause any trouble here.

Lionel Clinton was 60 years old. He was a professor at Melburgh University and also the part-time

director of the Melbourne branch of the International Council of Nonprofits.

Although he was only a part-timer, he was quite knowledgeable and had been the teacher of many

excellent people, so he was highly respected by the Council.

Many of the capital tycoons on the Council were his disciples, so even though he held a position here,

everyone still called him Professor Clinton.

He was here as a judge at the invitation of the higher-ups of the Council.

He had been called in to review the candidates with the chairwoman. No one had told him there would

be any guests, and the crowd had annoyed him a bit.

“This is Miss Jodie Pratt, the daughter of the Pratt family. Who do you think you are? Show Miss Jodie

some respect!” Tilden was already unhappy that there was no one in the conference room to entertain

Miss Jodie. So as soon as he was scolded by Professor Clinton, he immediately lashed out.

“The daughter of the Pratt family? This is the office of the International Council of Nonprofits. There is

no place for the daughter of the Pratt family. Go ahead and do what you have to do. Don’t get in the

way here!”

Professor Clinton adjusted his presbyopic gla**es and asked them to leave without looking at Jodie.
