As Wolfric did not dare gainsay Nathan earlier, he vented his anger on his subordinates then.

With his face contorted in fury, he snarled, "Do I look as though I'm fine? What were you useless lot doing just now?"

The captain reflexively explained, "I didn't receive any signal from you requesting backup, Admiral..."

Before he could finish speaking, he noticed the murderous look in Wolfric's eyes. Such terror struck him that he did not dare continue but stood there silently, ready to be lectured. "I'll settle the score with you later," Wolfric hissed.

Just then, Leopold came in with a few subordinates.

"Haha, it's really lively in here. Is everyone okay?"

"Yeah. Everyone is good, other than Wolfric, who suffered some superficial injuries," Nathan replied with a smile. "We've also taken Wael alive. How are things on your side?" Leopold studied Wolfric, who was beaten and bruised, with great interest, his expression and the look in his eyes seemingly mocking the latter for being the only person injured. Chagrined by the man's gaze, Wolfric forcibly smothered his wrath and asserted, "Commander Cross asked you a question, Leopold. How are things on your side?" Leopold merely grinned.

"Everything went smoothly. We've already assumed control of this lab and taken the Shadow Scientists into custody. That aside, we've obtained all the data on the research of the blood virus. I believe if we hand the information to the researchers of our countries, they'll be able to reverse-engineer a serum to counteract the blood virus in no time. Its threat to humankind will soon be eliminated."

"That's great! Triplicate Shadow Research Institute research data on the blood virus. Each country will have a copy. Is that agreeable to you all?" Nathan said with a smile.

"I'm fine with it," Leopold answered.

Nathan then shifted his gaze to Wolfric.

reached a consensus, they had their subordinates put it into action and send the data from Shadow Research Institute back to their respective countries. Wolfric went over to Wael, whose leg was broken, and sneered with rage etched across his features, "Can you still act high and mighty now?"

Having been caught then, Wael merely glanced at the man without saying anything.

Wolfric raised his hand and slapped Wael twice, snapping bitterly, "Let me tell you this-you're dead. The entire Charleigh family is doomed."
