Chapter 316 You're Getting Weaker Who was this man?

As Garrison stepped out of the car, he saw Emily being dragged away by the thugs. Without wasting a moment, he rushed over, pulled Emily out of their grip, and stood protectively in front of her.

One of the thugs looked at Garrison and sneered, "Hey, kid, you better walk away while we're still talking nicely. Otherwise, you're not going to like what happens next." Garrison, without hesitation, shot back, "That's my lineBelonging © NôvelDram/a.Org.

He swung a punch right at the thug. This set off the others, and they all ganged up on him. Though Garrison had always been a bit frail, he fought back as best he could. However, after taking a few hard hits, he was knocked to the ground. Just when the thugs were about to continue their assault, Robert showed up. "You two want trouble, messing with my friend?"

Robert rushed in, kicked one thug, and threw the other to the ground with ease. In no time, he overpowered the group. Realizing they were no match for Robert, the thugs quickly retreated, got into their car, and sped off.

lately? It feels like you're getting weaker. You couldn't even handle a couple of street punks. What have you been doing to yourself?"

Garrison shrugged off Robert's hand. "Don't tell anyone about today. Head back to class."

"And what about you?" Robert asked, puzzled.

"I've got something to take care of. Just go back," Garrison said with a frown.

Robert gave him a long, searching look but eventually nodded and left. Once Robert was gone, Garrison turned to Emily. "You, too. Don't tell anyone what happened today."

Emily looked at the cut on Garrison's lip, concerned. "Are you okay?"

"I'm fine," he replied shortly,

Then, Garrison pulled a diamond necklace out of his pocket and handed it to her. Confused, Emily asked, "What's this?"

"It's the necklace Hazel promised you. I got it back from Samantha. Keep it safe, and don't tell Finley that Samantha tried to steal it, got it?" Garrison said.

"Why shouldn't Hell Finley?"

Garrison hesitated. If Finley found out that Samantha had tried to steal the necklace, he'd likely come down hard on her because of Emily's connection to him as his sister. Samantha was already in a difficult situation, and if Finley took action, it could make things worse. Garrison had retrieved the necklace to keep Finley from finding out and making life even harder for Samantha.

Not wanting to explain too much, Garrison added, "Look, since you've got the necklace back, there's no reason to mention it to Finley. He's my brother, and I know how he is. He can't stand people who gossip, even if he spoils you. Just let it go."
