Wife by Day, Boss by Night

Chapter 210

She carefully adjusted Brian's tie and collar, stepping back with a nod of approval. “There, all set.”

Before she could move away, Brian's arms encircled her waist, pulling her back against him swiftly and possessively.NôvelDrama.Org owns © this.

He took it as an indication that Natalie was finally letting her guard down around him, and wasn’t harbouring any resentment anymore. Their eyes met, and before Natalie could utter a word, Brian leaned in and kissed her lips gently.

Natalie's lips went swollen when they parted, her breaths coming out in short gasps. “You're going to miss your flight,” she warned.

What Brian had given up for Natalie in his life was far more than just one business deal.

But he wouldn't push her if she wasn't ready to continue.

She was destined to be his, sooner or later.

After returning to the set in the evening, Natalie stepped out of a car belonging to the Morales family just as Miller was driving by. Doing a double-take, he inspected the vehicle more closely in his rear-view mirror.

The license plate was as assertive as they came, a bold license plate number not the thing ordinary folks would dare to flaunt.

Even though Miller didn’t recognize whose car was, it was enough to tell him it had significant clout.

He quickly parked and caught up to Natalie, his voice soft with concern. “My dear, wouldn't it be better to rest at the hotel or home for a few days?”

“Rosie said...” Natalie began but paused.

“What Rosie says doesn’t matter. Agents love to push their clients too hard. I get that!” Miller whispered back hastily.

“Plus, you know they've axed Arlen, and they're reshooting his scenes. A few days off won't make a difference.”

Miller felt like he had bad luck this year. A production, one month in, two reshoots, and a schedule that was supposed to wrap in five months looked like it would take half a year.

Natalie had only been to the set twice recently and hadn't noticed Arlen’s absence until Miller mentioned it.

After a moment, she asked in a low voice, “What happened?”

Miller hemmed and hawed for a few seconds before confessing, “Shouldn't you be more aware of the reason than us? Arlen took to social media to spill about you and Mr. Howard, and a few

days later, he was out of the production.”

It was as good as saying Brian had ordered the cast change.

Natalie had indeed seen the buzz on social media stirred up by Arlen.

But with the show featuring a large cast of women and excluding extras, there were at least gdozentybuny

Arlen. She couldn't be bothered to get upset over such a man, but Brian had taken action against Arlen.

After exchanging a look with Miller, she said, “I had a few scenes with Arlen. If his parts are reshot, I need to be on set.”

Her absence would only fuel more speculation among the cast.

“Are you sure you can handle it?” Miller asked in a low voice.

“I'm not the lead and don’t have many scenes. Where's the question of handling it or not?” Natalie couldn't help but laugh.
