Chapter 800 Chenille
Chapter 800 Chenille
Dunker clutched his broken fingers, whining miserably.
"The same rule. I'll fight with you with one hand, and if you can make me take a step back, I'll let you
go."
Finn placed one of his arms behind him and looked at Dunker expectantly.
How dared Dunker look at Finn again. He didn't make it even when he attacked Finn secretly. He now
knew what Finn must be at the later stage of Obscure Period, and even had got in the Transformed
Period.
But from what Finn said, he might not let Dunker leave easily.
Dunker felt anxious, with his men standing behind him.
The only way he could escape was if these guys could buy him some time, and though he knew this
was unlikely, he still shouted, "What are you looking at? Come on!"
The men were all called by Cai. Although Finn had just overcome Dunker with a move, they didn't think
Finn could beat them because he was outnumbered. As soon as Dunker shouted, they all rushed in.
Dunker looked at Finn, hoping to slip away when Finn didn't pay attention to him, but Finn wasn't
distracted. He just stared at him.
'This guy read my mind.' thought Dunker to himself.
A moment later, these men fell to the ground with a low moan.
Dunker didn't have a chance to run again.
For Finn, knocking them down was just a piece of cake, and he didn't expect these guys to really get
him to show his abilities.
Finn walked up to Dunker.
"I mean it. Aren't you going to think about it?"
"Please... please spare my life," muttered Dunker.
"So you admit being defeated!"
Dunker didn't dare to breathe, and Finn felt bored.
"Hit yourself ten times in the face and I'll let you go."
Hearing Finn's words, Dunker looked at Finn in disbelief, only to be greeted with a skeptical look from
Finn.
"Why, you have a problem with it?"
"No, I'll do it."
A clear sound hitting in the face sounded particularly loud in the quite street.
When Dunker finished, there came a Taoist with a long sword on his back.
Wearing a robe, with a sword on the back and a mixed bun, the Taoist looked like a sage.
The man walked up to Finn and made a polite bow before saying, "I'm Chenille."
Finn, of course, did not know the Taoist. Although the martial arts in Country C were from Mount KL
Sect, the masters were not Taoists either, though they dressed up as Taoist monks.
However, the Taoist paid respect to him, so he replied with respect.
"May I know what are you doing here?" Finn asked.
Chenille looked at Dunker, whose cheeks were swollen and red, and said slowly, "To pursue the Martial
Artist Period."
"Martial Artist Period?" Finn muttered to himself.
Not a single practitioner didn't want to seek the Martial Artist Period, but there were only a few masters
who could made it. Even if he had The True Solution, he did not know how to become a Martial Artist.
His skills had been at the bottleneck of the Transformed Period for a long time.
He went out for practice just to be a Martial Artist, but it only consolidated his stage at the peak, and
made no progress.
Now the Taoist asked him he was seeking the Martial Artist Period, so Finn was naturally curious.
"That's not something ordinary people are looking for."
"It is not a thing, but a sincere heart. I have traveled through numerous great mountains, but I have
only taken one step in the Martial Artist Period. If I take one more step, I may not be as calm as usual."
Finn was horrified that the Taoist would say he had taken one step in the Martial Artist Period.
Dunker was even more surprised. His mouth hurt a lot as he used all his strength to slap himself just
now.
Hearing the conversation between Finn and the Taoist, Dunker was dumbfounded. What did they
mean?
Martial Artist? That was not what he could achieve even if he wanted to.
Finn remained as calm as ever. He was now half a Martial Artist. if he was scared by the Taoist, he
would look down on himself.
"You want to fight me?"
"No! I just want to discuss the Taoism with you together."
Dunker was all ears. Even if he didn't understand it, he could transfer the conversation to his father.
With that in mind, he stealthily inched closer while Finn wasn't noticing him.
Finn turned to look at Dunker.
"Why, you want ten more slaps?"
It scared the shit out of Dunker.
"No. No. I will leave at once."
He left the men he had brought alone and ran away as quickly as possible.
"Sir, it's not convenient to talk here. How about we change the place?"
But Chenille waved his hand. Original content from NôvelDrama.Org.
"I just dropped by and didn't mean to disturb you. But I didn't expect to meet a man of my kind. It's such
a good luck. I would only ask for some advice, and then I will leave."
Seeing that the Taoist had no intention to stay, Finn didn't force him.
"Yes, please."
"I'd been travelling for many years and seeking the Martial Artist Period, but until now, I realized that no
everyone can make."
"What does that mean?"
"There are less than twelve Martial Artists now in the world. If no Martial Artist passes away, I couldn't
be a Martial Artist at all."
Finn was stunned to hear that. There were less than twelve Martial Artists left in the world? And only
when a Martial Artist passed away, could he have the chance to enter the mysterious realm.
But the chance of a Martial Artist passing away was so slim.
Wendy's father, Jordi, was one of them, but who had taken his place?
As Finn was lost in thought, Chenille said, "I have to go now!"
Then, without waiting for Finn to ask him to stay, he turned and walked away.
The long sword on his back swayed from side to side following the Taoist's pace.
"Are you all right?" asked Wendy with concerned. Finn seemed to be in a trance after talking to
Chenille.
"I'm fine! It's just that there's something I can't figure out."
There was some doubt in Finn's mind, so he didn't say anything more on the way back with Wendy.
Wendy was a little frustrated. She could only keep silent when she could say someone considerate, but
she did not want to disturb Finn, so she could only leave after the others had left and kissed him
goodbye.
But when Finn was about to leave, Wendy called out to him.
"Finn, I've missed you so much. I really missed you."
After that, she did not dare to see Finn in the eyes and ran back home.
It took some time for Finn to catch on to Wendy's words.
